Krispy Kreme Donuts

Okay, I am a Krispy Kreme donut virgin. I think we do have them in the UK but not anywhere near me here in the frozen north. I keep seeing references to these on this board. So -

1. Are they really yummy?
2. Do they come in different kinds and if so, what?
3. And where can you get them on the cruise? I keep reading about them at breakfast but can't recall seeing them anywhere.

Krispy Kreme donuts are WONDERful, but they don't have them on the Wonder or the Magic. There are many varieties, but IMO the glazed ones are the best.

We have a KK doughnut shop near us! We can get them hot right out of the fryer! They just melt in your mouth! They boys love to go there and watch the dough raise, drop and fry in the oil, flip, fry some more then go under the icing waterfall. Excuse me while I wipe the drool from my chin! They also carry a variety...chocolate covered, sprinkles (jimmies), custard filled, jelly filled, you name it. I am not sure what they have on the ship, as we have not cruised yet, but I'll be getting some! Even if they aren't right out of the fryer!

Yummyy !!! Take a peek at their website,.... http://www.krispykreme.com/ .. I think they sell them inside Harrods.... I just get the original glazed one.. thats my favorite... and there hot and delicious !

I have seen several posts here on the boards, that they do have them on the Magic.

I was on the Magic two weeks ago and I can CONFIRM that they put out Krispy Kreme donuts at Topsiders every morning!!

Whereabouts at Topsiders if that isn't a silly question. Down the sides of the regular buffet lines, at the end near the coffee or where the desserst are at the lunch buffet? I have just checked out the website and will be SO disappointed if I can't find them

I'm very happy to hear that I'm wrong (don't tell DH).

I just assumed that they didn't have them because I remember reading a thread about a poster who said he/she was going to take a bunch of boxes of Krispy Kremes on the ship to sell.

Yes they are at Topsider's.

They are located in about the middle of the buffet on both sides. There is a tray of pastries like doughnits and croissants. They were yummy!

They are where the desserts are at the lunch buffet. They also have danishes and cinnamon rolls there, too. The cinnamon rolls are very good!

They have them on the Wonder, too ... but nothing beats a KK right off the conveyor belt at a KK store!

We cruised on Magic January 10, 2004 Eastern Itinerary and got the Krispy Kremes with morning room service. Just order the doughnuts and put a little note for KK. They will take care of you.

Agreeing with posters above. For the true Krispy Kreme experience, you have to get it hot off the line at the stores where they make 'em. After that, nothing else compares.

If you need a pre-cruise KK fix, they have a counter in the food court at MCO and make them right there.

We have KK near us too, but I try not to eat them knowing there like 300 calories each. I better stay away from them onboard.

Ok you guys....... this better not be another one of those April Fool's Day Jokes! I ahve a KK about 2 miles from my house- but hvae sworn off of them UNTIL the cruise. PLEASE don't let this be a trick!

We sailed on the Magic 2/7/04 and I SAW THEM TAKE THE DOUGHNUTS OUT OF THE KRISPEY KREME BOX and place them on the buffet line!!!! Hubby and I were discussing that they must freeze them and thaw as need as they would never stay fresh the whole week.

The most certainly does have KK onboard!!!!
