Kraft Parmesan Cheese on board?

I assume they only serve parmesan cheese shaved off the block, but has anyone also seen the Kraft Parmesan cheese - the shaker kind in the can? DD6 is very picky and practically lives on pasta, but must have her parmesan cheese from the can. I'll bring some if I need to. Thought I could keep the big container in our room refrigerator, we'll have a real one as my husband takes insulin, then just put some in a ziplock to take to the dining room. Thanks!

I've got a picky 5 year old as well. His favorite thing is plain pasta (no sauce) with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.

I did not see any cans of kraft parm cheese there, but I can say that when they came around to put parm cheese on the kids meals, it was the sprinkle on kind. They had it in a silver "gravy boat" type dish and they just sprinkled it on with a spoon. I'm pretty sure it was kraft parm cheese, just served from a fancier bowl.

Hope that helps! They seem to be pretty accomodating to my picky eater!

MomtoAandZ, you must have my 5YO boy's long-lost twin! My DS is exactly the same way. I ditto what you said about the parmesan in the dining rooms, but I have a funny story to add. On our repo cruise we ordered room service, and my DS asked for a side of parmesan (to go on a cheese pizza). When the tray arrived, my DH told me to check out the parmesan. There was an elegantly draped plate holding several slices of real aged parmesan! DH enjoyed them.

My 6year old parmesan cheese snob won't even let me call it parmesan. It's called "sprinkle cheese" around here. She even orders it at restaraunts herself, "I want noodles with NO red sauce, just butter and sprinkle cheese!" You should see the looks on waitress' faces! She liked the sprinkle cheese on the boat. She even had our server coming by saying, "you want some more sprinkle cheese, Miss Bethany?" on a regular basis!

I am addicted to Kraft Parmesan Cheese!!! I love that stuff.
I've had the fancier versions but I always go back to the Kraft in the green container! Love it, love it, love it!!!!

I'm so glad to hear that others have parmesan snobs! My DS(15) is one also, but in quite the opposite way. His nose goes up at anything grated and is outright offended at green cans! For him, it must be freshly shredded or nothing. Freshly grated won't work either - only shreds.

Unfortunately, open food items cannot be brought onboard the ship. If you want to bring your own canned parmesan chesse, you will have to purchase a small one and bring it on the ship unopened -- not in a ziplock baggie.
