I'm in too! My first House Party ever and I've applied to over half a dozen.
For those who are in - will you be doing anything special? Do you ask your guests to bring anything? I thought I'd ask each guest to bring their favorite "comfort food" side dish or dessert to share (to serve with the mac n' cheese). How can I make my first House Party special? I've read the tips, but I want to know what you are doing?

According to the site, I'm still yellow and it says that i will find out if I made it on or around September 7. I would really like to get this one. I got in on the Bull's Eye party in June and we had a lot of fun with it!

The website doesn't say. Some are for free product and some are for $1 or so off. Guess we won't find out til someone gets their Party Pack. First one to receive their Pack should post. Thanks!

I am guessing I didn't get this one. It seems once people start hearing then that's the group regardless of what date it says decisions will be made. It's probably for the best, I got the My Thai Kitchen party which is scheduled for the same day.

The only one I really, really wish I had gotten was the Fisher Price one. Oh, well on to the next application.

I asked something similar on another thread and more than one person said they don't know if there is anything that really gets you in. I was curious after you got in your first one if you are more likely to get others or not and what's the catch or trick to getting the parties.

In the past month I have put in for 5 parties. I got my second one application. I didn't get either of the Kraft parties and yet I buy tons of Kraft's brands including very specifically the Capri Sun Ragin' Waters which is the other Kraft that just picked their hosts. I also didn't get the Fisher Price party and I have an infant (8 months old) which fit the age range of what they were looking for and I have several Fisher Price toys for her already and have a very favorable opinion of the brand.

I don't remember what I put on the application for My Thai kitchen (the one I got) that I said would make it special. I do know what I put on the application for the Tombstone Pizza Halloween party. But those hosts are due to be chosen until sometime in mid September.

Just keep trying. As you apply for some of them, think about it before you actually sit down to fill in the application. Be honest and think about what you like to do with your friends and family--play games, try new foods, theme nights....etc. It was funny when the Tombstone Pizza thing came up because my DS and DH had already tried to get me to agree to a Halloween party. We decided against it because we are going to MNSSHP that weekend. But this party fits the bill perfectly because it's supposed to be two weeks before that. I don't know if I will get it but I put all kinds of ideas on there because we had already discussed possibilities of what we would do for a Halloween party.
