I just got my magazine today and it included an envelope that said they will now be charging $13 for a yearly subscription. No thank you! I'm so disappointed. I loved the easy recipes, but they are online as well for free!

I got mine today also, but the offer was 6.99 for a year. I'm not doing it either.

I do use a lot of the recipes as well but ya know what? I've been getting this magazine since 2004 and I think each season I see the same ones over and over. It won't be a big loss. I'll just have to go back to the old ones.

Seriously, how many times have they shown the mac n cheese caserole with different meats baked in??

Like the PP said, the recipes all seem to repeat anyway. I still get e-mails with recipes and links to the site where you can find any of their recipes. I liked looking through the magazine, but it's not worth the money.

I received mine today as well for $6.99. I must say that I was always surprised that they send it out as it does have to cost a bit to produce it and not charge. That said, since everything is available on the website, I will just check in there. I wonder if they will charge a fee to access the site now.

How disappointing, I loved looking through the magazine for new recipes to try. Oh well, I guess I'll have to do it online now.

I really enjoy the magazine and am very disappointed that they will begin charging for it. We enjoy the recipes and some have become family favorites but really it is just one big advertisement for Kraft products.

Will I pay to get it - No.

I try the recipes because I see them and they look good. I do not usually spend time looking at recipes online so they'll be losing me as a customer who would increase purchases because of the recipes I'm trying out.

The magazines were nice but not worth $6.99 for me. I won't be subscribing either and, without the reminder of the magazine, I don't expect I'll log into the site very much. I do think I'll call and let them know just in case some PR dept is keeping track of that kind of info...

I'd suggest checking out Taste of Home's website. Better recipes, wider variety, active community forums, and the website is free to explore (with user generated content!). Oddly enough, they have frequent deals where you can get one of their rather nice subscriptions for less than I'm seeing quoted for Kraft's. They also appear to be the same genre of food.

I used to work for Kraft and I got the mag for free. Then they started sending it to everyone for free. I wonder if they are charging employees for it now, too? I won't be forking out any $$ for it. I loved it when it was free, but I can't see paying any money for it!

The deal-breaker for me was the fact there are only 3 coupons in it. There used to be a whole tear out section at least. I can't use the IHOP for a child so that leaves me with only 2 coupons....not worth me paying for it!

I like this magazine, but the whole thing is one big commercial for kraft foods- its ridiculous to charge for it!

OMG, I got the same thing and thought the same thing. Didn't we used to get that for free? I'm sure I wouldn't have paid for a subscription that is a glorified advertisement for Kraft. Mine was only $6.99,. still not worth it. I'm thinking worth it is....free.

Aw man. :(

I've been getting Kraft Food & Family magazines for years. Free. Charging for it now stinks. :( I'll just go to their website or a Taste of Home. I really like the magazines though. I've kept them all. Loved getting the coupons in the magazine too. Shoot.

I got my magazine last night too and was so surprised when DH mentioned the notice that it was our final magazine unless we paid the $6.99 for a subscription. Sorry. I don't think so. The recipes were basically the same things over and over (although the mini meatloaves are a favorite in our house). I agree with a PP - I'll just stick to my Taste of Home subscription.

I got mine today also, but the offer was 6.99 for a year. I'm not doing it either.
That was my offer too. I was kind of irked because of the whole "end of subscription thing. Are htey trying to convince us that we have always paid for it in the past?
The deal-breaker for me was the fact there are only 3 coupons in it. There used to be a whole tear out section at least. I can't use the IHOP for a child so that leaves me with only 2 coupons....not worth me paying for it!

There were a distinct lack of coupons and the recipes were blah this time around IMO. I think if they wanted people to pay for it they should have made this one really outstanding. They blew it on the marketing front.

I just got my "deal" from Kraft too. It said that it would regularly be 13.00 but if I subscribed now it would only be 6.99. No deal! I agree - you can get the recipes online and they quit including coupons. I'm sure it was expensive to produce but I bet they got their money back from people who thought you could only use Kraft products in the recipes.
