Anyone been to Kouzzina recently? I am looking for any reviews or comments about this restaurant.

We went to Kouzzina for breakfast in September. It is a must do now for every trip. The stacked breakfast was wonderful!

We ate there in November and loved it. We had one of the best dinners ever. It is now on our must do list.

We ate there twice for breakfast and once for dinner in 2010 and enjoyed nearly everything about each meal. The food is, in our opinion, wonderful across the board. I loved the pastitsio I had for dinner and both breakfasts. My boyfriend enjoyed the stacked breakfast so much on our first visit that he couldn't bring himself to try something new when we returned. He also liked the preparation of their whole fish at dinner.

I'm disappointed in recent changes to the white wine sangria they serve. It used to be crisp and refreshing but now it's syrupy and overly sweet. I also find the dining room noisy at dinnertime, but if you go there anticipating the party atmosphere, it's great.

We had a dinner and 2 breakfasts at Kouzzina Oct, 2010. It was fabulous!! The Fisherman's Stew was so good that I asked for a spoon to finish the broth. :goodvibes Loved the butter presentation with the black sea salt!! DH had a chicken something--he loved it.

We liked our dinner so much, we decided to do breakfast there twice--no adr's were needed for breakfast.:thumbsup2

Just went there 12/22. New menu (some changes) and redecorated inside. They no longer give the bread with the butter with sea salt. They have a really good bread with sea salt baked in that is cut into "strips" I guess I would call it. They then bring 2 different kinds of olive oil for dipping and some olives with it. A nice touch

The flank steak is gone replaced with a new york strip for a few dollars more but its really good. Also they have a new pasta dish with saffron noodles and lamb ragout that my daughter tried and loved.

Cant remember the rest of the changes but we really enjoyed it and our waitress was excellent

Four of us had dinner there in March and food was very good. I would return again. :thumbsup2

Will go next yr. It really looked good last night. Loved the boardwalk.

We had dinner there in September and it was great! Even our 4 year old daughter loved it! We were not sure what to expect, however, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had a chicken entree and my dh had the lasagna which was very different but really good. We are looking to try breakfast on our next trip!

We ate there in September and will be going back for our trip in October. It was very impressive, good quality, delicious food. I tried the Kouzzina sampler and DH had the steak. We were both impressed and my DH usually balks at anything "different", but loved his steak. My kids liked their dinners and loved their "make your own" desserts.

IMO definitely an excellent choice.

Take care!

We ate there in September and loved it! It was probably the best dinner we had during the trip. I had the Kouzzina sampler, which was amazing. The desserts were a little disappointing for me because I don't like nuts and I think every dessert had some kind of nut thing going on. But I don't need to order dessert with every meal either so I didn't care. The entree was more than enough to fill me up!

I haven't been there since the recent menu change, but visited in August and January of 2010. The whole family loved it. I highly recommend Kouzzina.

DH and I dined at Kouzzina in October and we really enjoyed it. We split the calamari and I had the Kouzzina sampler and DH had the whole fish, everything was fresh, hot, and wonderful. We went for dinner early in the evening so we did not experience a loud atmosphere at all, and we had very attentive service. We would both happily return. At the time we split the red sangria pitcher which was very nice as it was mostly wine and not very sweet at all, although the serving was small for the price.

Love Greek food, have several Cat Cora cookbooks, couldn't wait to get here--would never go back. We ordered the grape leaves, spreads, and spanakopita to start. When I commented to the waiter that they were nothing special--tasted just like they do in Pittsburgh, he told me that they were all shipped in, not made fresh in the kitchen. What a downer!!

Hubby had the fisherman stew, thought it was loaded with seafood and very tasty, but a terribly small portion.

Bring back Spoodles!

Hmm ... I'm not sure I believe that. I think your server may have been misinformed.

June, sorry to hear that. I love fish stew and would hate a small portion.

Glad to hear they are making some changes - to both the menu and the decor

We dined there in October of 2009 and were very underwhelmed with it.

The food was good, not great, and the ambiance was virtually non-existent and basically just felt it wasn't anything special and not worth the money.

It wasn't bad per say, but certainly not Iron Chef worthy

I agree with June@imsarc.com I was very disappointed with Koussina. Other than the fact that they serve my favorite Greek wine there is nothing special about this restaurant.

Maybe I am spoiled as friends of mine own their own Greek restaurant and my friend is the head chef but I agree that the dolmaties were anything but special. I don't like the goat cheese add to a traditional Greek dish.

I order the lava cake and they had overcooked it so much that all the lava was baked so it was like a burnt chocolate cake.

They really didn't serve anything TRADITIONAL Greek at all.

I would not recommend this restaurant.
