That's funny, because when we went three weeks ago, I had a ressie for La Chefs de France for the first night and had our last night at Kouzzina's. I wanted the week to start off great and end with a bang!
After reading the reviews, I switched the ressies, thinking if it turned out to be a dud meal at Kouzzina's, we still had seven more meals to make up for it and end the week at La Chefs, which I love!
Well, Kouzzina's turned out to be the best meal we had all week. Ben, our server, was fab-u-lous. I indicated on the ressie that we had a first time visitor who loved, loved, loved greek food. They fell all over us; from the hostess to the maitre'd to our server (Ben), they stopped by and said hello to us all the time. We loved the attention.
We ordered two appetizers to share and all were wonderful and unique - nothing I would ever try at home, but it was fantastic. We had the Kouzzina spreads and the Brick Oven Bread. We also had bread for the table.
I had the pastisio, which was to die for. My two companions had the cinnamon stewed chicken and the lamb shank. I don't think we said ten words the entire time; we are so busy stuffing our faces and just saying, yum.....we also added three sides, the cold beets, the farmhouse greens and the brussel sprouts - all fantastic.
For dessert, we ordered the baklava, the loukoumades, and the chocolate budino cake. We fought over the last three loukoumades, even though we thought we were going to burst......
Thanks to Kat for making our dining experience at Disney truly a wonderful experience - it is reflective of the way that more restaurants were before "
free dining" and the changes that came with it, but she had her own wonderful flair attached to it. It is my new favorite!
