So...just when I think I've got my plans all figured out...:rotfl:...I read something on this board and want to make changes to my ADR's. Wondering what you would do...swap a dinner reservation at Chefs for one at Kouzinna? How long would it take to get back and forth from Epcot to the Boardwalk? Also, I assume I would probably be able to have a more leisurely meal at Kouzinna?

Thanks!

Ugg, neither! :rotfl: Those are the only 2 places I've been in Disney that I was not a fan of. However, Kouzzina was worse, so if I had to choose, I would keep the Chefs ADR.

I wouldn't call Kouzzina leisurely - it was SO LOUD in there. Louder than Chefs, and Chefs was pretty hustle and bustle! I assume you're talking pace of the meal though. If you are at an in park restaurant and don't want to be rushed, order courses separately. Just get your apps and tell the server you will decide on your entree later and such.

It's probably a 10 minute walk to Kouzzina from the IG entrance of Epcot. But remember the IG entrance is between the UK and France pavilions, so if you're in FW you would need to allow more than 10 minutes.

I would do Kouzzina over Chefs....I loved Kouzzina - great food, and I loved the hustle and bustle of the atmosphere - it didn't make me feel rushed at all.

I had the tuna at Chefs last year, and although Tuna is my favorite food....this was just not good! It was a very poor cut that should never have been plated and served IMHO....so it left me with a "bad taste"...

Huh...the more that I've thought about it, I remembered there was a reason why I wanted to go to Chef's in the first place...I had a meal there the first time I went to Epcot when I was a kid that I still remember. My parents and I had an incredible French (obviously) waiter who let me order something that I don't think was on the menu involving grouper and noodles and a cream sauce and it was delicious. I still think about it!

So, even though I'm prepared for the meal not to live up to my memories, I think I'll probably keep my Chefs ADR.

We eat at Chefs every year and love it. Given that you are at Epcot it is a no brainer to choose Chefs over Kouzzinna, IMHO.

Go with your memories. I don't think you will be disappointed.

we ate both over the past two trips and I would go back to both. BUT, Kouzzina was fantastic. Awesome food and not "DUMBED" down like so much of the food now on WDW. This is a restaurant that reflects Cat Cora's style and her food and does not follow the new Disney standards of basic beef, pork and chicken dishes.

The Lamb Shank was out of this world. I love Rack of Lamb and usually stay away from shank, but WOW. The appetizer for two was also great. No one at our table had anything negative to say about the food, atmosphere or service. This is definitely on our list every trip from here on.

We like both of them. We were at Kouzzina in October and the whole fish was fantastic. I ordered the Lamb Shank and loved it. We also enjoyed our dinner at Chefs so we'd definitely go back to both. It sounds like you made your choice based on your previous experience so I'm sure you'll be happy.

I have not heard that great a thng about Kouzzina but when we ate at Chefs in Oct we had a terrible meal so we will not be going back there anymore....I would not mind trying Kouzzina for myself though.....

Kouzinna is way better we will never go back to Chef de france the food was terrible.

We had a great meal at Kouzinna. Barely a wait. We had an adr for Chefs but the wait looked awful and we had a fp for Sorin' that we were worried about being done in time to use (It was one of the last fp distributed for the day). I would say that the time it takes to walk to Kouzinna would more than make up for the wait at Chefs. I know that you had already decided on Chef but there may be other people out there who are making the same choice. My one complaint of Kouzinna was that service was too slow but that was ok as we were wanting a slower paced meal.

Ditto, ditto, ditto.

In my opinion, most (if not all) of the food in EPCOT is glorified fast-food. I can name many dozens of restaurants around the country that blow the EPCOT food away for the same price. Some of it is pretty good, and there are fun meals to be had, but they're not going to be winning any awards any time soon.

I've tried Chefs a few times over the years and always found that the food is un-impressive (once I swore I was eating something from a frozen dinner). The staff is fake, French "snooty." They just irritated me.

Kouzzina was a wonderful experience all around. I've posted positive reviews elsewhere here. Great food. Great service. Great experience.

The only way I'd eat at Chefs again is if I was sure that I was going to get to see Remy (not even sure if they're still bringing him out).

We just ate at Kouzzina a couple of weeks ago and it was FANTASTIC !!!!! I almost cancelled the reservation because of all the bad reviews I read and we were both so happy that we kept the reservation. I had the fish and my DH had the fish stew. He is still talking about his dish. My fish was the best I have ever had. We have dinned at both places and Kouzzina would be my pick. Try it you will love it !!!!:banana::banana:

Haven't eaten @ Chefs de France, but just wanted to give another thumbs up for Kouzzina. Our entire family really enjoyed our meal there last month.

That's funny, because when we went three weeks ago, I had a ressie for La Chefs de France for the first night and had our last night at Kouzzina's. I wanted the week to start off great and end with a bang!

After reading the reviews, I switched the ressies, thinking if it turned out to be a dud meal at Kouzzina's, we still had seven more meals to make up for it and end the week at La Chefs, which I love!

Well, Kouzzina's turned out to be the best meal we had all week. Ben, our server, was fab-u-lous. I indicated on the ressie that we had a first time visitor who loved, loved, loved greek food. They fell all over us; from the hostess to the maitre'd to our server (Ben), they stopped by and said hello to us all the time. We loved the attention.

We ordered two appetizers to share and all were wonderful and unique - nothing I would ever try at home, but it was fantastic. We had the Kouzzina spreads and the Brick Oven Bread. We also had bread for the table.

I had the pastisio, which was to die for. My two companions had the cinnamon stewed chicken and the lamb shank. I don't think we said ten words the entire time; we are so busy stuffing our faces and just saying, yum.....we also added three sides, the cold beets, the farmhouse greens and the brussel sprouts - all fantastic.

For dessert, we ordered the baklava, the loukoumades, and the chocolate budino cake. We fought over the last three loukoumades, even though we thought we were going to burst......

Thanks to Kat for making our dining experience at Disney truly a wonderful experience - it is reflective of the way that more restaurants were before "free dining" and the changes that came with it, but she had her own wonderful flair attached to it. It is my new favorite!
