I still tear up every time I see the star photos....so many children...how sweet that Korissa's, Taylor's, and Kade's stars are together


wow the villa's are huge....um what mess beds look better than mine usually does

looks like you enjoyed GKTW until the last possible moment, such a special place


how is everyone feeling today? hope Steven's wrist is doing better today with the cast!

I cried everytime we had to go in the Castle. You can just stare at that ceiling for hours and wonder.
I did pull the sheets for the pictures. I wanted to take picture when we got there, but we were so tired.
We just tried to soak up all the sight before leaving.
Everyone is doing pretty good. Kerri and Kyra had a cold and now is passing it to Korissa. The ENT wants to see her sick, but now we are coming onto a weekend. Never fails. Steven is doing great. I think he likes the cast He got everyone in his class to sign it. We go next Tuesday for a Xray to make sure everything is ok and then we don't have to go back for 5 weeks.

Just in case you miss it on my TR....I think we will be coming to DLR on pres day weekend...Megan has a 5 day weekend, so we will have plently of time to fit in a visit too! was hoping to get down there before then, but I can't deal with the summer heat in CA and our trip to Modesto before xmas wouldn't give us enough time!

Love all the pictures you posted on your last morning at GKTW and especially seeing Korissa's star along with Kade's and Taylor's! Glad you all had a chance to wander around the village one last time before heading to IOA. I like the picture of all three girls in their "Thing" shirts and everyone with Dr Seuss. Your description of the Grinch's reaction to your shirts is a hoot! At least he liked Steven's shirt! Can't wait to hear about the rest of your day!

The Grinch is funny in IOA... When I was there the child in front of me was about 11 and had a disney autograph book the Grinch made spitting noises and threw the book on the ground... Don't think the child really knew what to do but it was funny watching it.

The claw was set up to keep going until the child gets a toy. It just wouldn't pick one up.

Yep..the Grinch wasn't happy.

After leaving Seuss Landing we headed to the Poseidon's Fury, but stopped for this picture.

We get to Poseidon's Fury

and we were taken through the back way...skipping the lines

It was an ok attraction. Kylee didn't like it and too much standing for me.

Next was the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The first ride the kids went on was the Dueling Dragons.

While they went on the ride I got in line for some Butter Beer. The line was huge it was so hot, but so worth the wait. I got one for Scott and I.

Scott and kids finally got off the ride and was upset that I didn't get them a Butter Beer. Ummmmm...like I can carry 6 drinks and push a stroller. Scott got in line and got them one.

We make our way to Flight of the Hippogriff ride. The kids and I went on this one. Kylee was crying because she didn't want to go on it, but then didn't want to stay with Scott(she is a mommies girl). I wanted to go on it, so she ended up going and I think she liked it. We then asked how long the Ollivander would be. We knew the line was almost 2 hours wait. We were told to come back in 1 hour and gave us a ticket.

The kids then went on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Scott didn't want to go on this as he has a thing with motion rides.

It only took 15 min and they came back and begged to go on it again. This time Scott went on. Again they get back in about 15 min. We still had to wait 30 min for the Ollivander, so we decided to just skip it. It was so hot and crowed...plus time as it was almost 5 at this time and we knew we had a lot of park to do. Now I'm upset that we didn't stay, but at that time the crowds won.

Next was the Jurassic Park

Our first stop was the Jurassic Park Discovery Center to use the restroom and sit for a second and cool down. We weren't in there long as the kids wanted to go on the JP River Adventure.

Next ride was the Pteranodon Flyers. Now this is were the older kids were upset. They loved this the last time and they didn't have height restrictions. This time they did. You have to be 36"-56" to ride this. If you are taller than 56" you have to have someone 36" with you. Since I wanted to be brave and conquer my height fears and Kylee wanted me to go with her..I went on with her. Since Ashlee never been on she went with Steven. They did say if the other kids wanted to go on we would have to wait 30 min because of the cutting in the front of line... I honestly thought this was stupid as all the other rides you cut in lines and they have no problem, but this ride they do care.
Let me say...I would never go on it again. My height fear took over me...lol.

The next area we went too was the Toon Lagoon.

The kids also went on Dudleys Do-Right Ripsaw Falls. Here is a small video of them on the ride. It goes way to fast.

The next up was the Comic Strip area.

Next ride was Spider-Man. I went on this the last time and hated it. Closed my eyes the whole time. Let's just say I didn't go on it this time. Next up was the Doctor Doom's fearfall. Just the bigger girls went on this.

After this ride we were all hungry. It was almost 8pm at this point, so we had dinner at the Comic Strip Café. It was nice just showing our bands and ordering what we wanted. They were also really nice. They don't just sell french fries, but we explained that Kylee really doesn't eat and all she wanted was FF, so they gave her some for free.

Once we were all full we started our trek out of the park, but we found out MAW kids can do the carnival games for free so Korissa did that. The kids wanted to go on The Hulk roller coaster, but some reason Ashlee didn't want to go, so they all just decided not to go. It was 9pm and we were all tired, so we left...plus we had to find our new place and unload the van with all our suitcases.

Our new home for the rest of our stay in Florida. Sure wasn't GKTW, but it was nice. We rented from Florida Fantasy Homes and they gave us a really great deal. For 4 nights it was $395 and that was a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathrrom.

This was taken the next day as it was dark when we arrived.

Up next...Seista Keys Beach

This morning we didn't get up until 9:30am. We really needed the sleep. I still even had a hard time waking Kylee up. This also was going to be our relaxing beach day. We had all plans of going to Daytona Beach as I really wanted to see the Daytona Speedway. We all get ready and out the door at 11am. We were going to go to the Waffle House for breakfast, but they had a line out the door..opps..it's a Sunday. Across the street was Cracker Barrel, so we went over there to see how long the wait was. It was a 45 minute wait. too long. We see an Arbys so we just went there. After lunch we went up to one of the worker and just see what beach they would recommend. This one lady suggested Seista Keys. She said it was a drive, but so worth it. She also said if we weren't at Daytona beach, by morning..we wouldn't have a spot. We took her suggestion and put the address in the GPS and off we went. At this time it was 12:30. I remember this time as I called Kerri and not thinking it was only 9:30am there and woke her up. We finally made it to Seista Keys.. it was 3pm at this time. Long drive but very relaxing, beautiful drive.

We finally made it to Seista Keys. Now the hard part..finding a parking space. All the streets were no parking. We find a lot that you can pay for parking so we went in. It was $10 to park, but once he saw our MAW buttons..he wouldn't take our money. We get out and put our sunscreen on. This has to be the hottest day in Florida and humid. I think it was something like 94 degrees and it was already almost 3:30pm.

At this time it's almost 6:00 and we were all getting hungry so we started to head out. We all agree to have Cracker Barrel for dinner. We just had to have it one more time.

We didn't get back to the Townhouse till 11:30pm. What a perfect, relaxing, and beautiful day.

I LOVE how picture heavy your TR is, it is so fun to see the detail of your days and the fun you are having...but i imagine you are ALL exhausted still form the long, late days...you did a LOT of living in the time you were gone!!! The Cracker Barrel still cracks me up...Now you have a reason visit to come visit ME, we have one just a few miles from our house...it is too expensive for all six of us to visit (I actually haven't been to Cracker Barrel since Lisa had to go to Duke for a Cardiac Cath in November 2008); but now I want to! I like to sit on the front porch and rock in the chairs...Thanks for showing your other accommodations, that looks like a WONDERFUL place to be if you can't stay at GKTW! THANK YOU for sharing your family with us!
