Kona

I liked Kona each time we went there our last trip. We stayed at the Poly and ate there for lunch twice and dinner once.
The food was good but I'm not lying when I say this... I could eat the coconut kiki tart everyday!! So good, so so good. I think this is the reason I went back as often as I did

Of course I just found out that they replaced the tart with pineapple upside down cake

I haven't had good luck with Kona, but I tend to have the opposite experiences that most Disers have at disney restaurants...I dont like the ones that everyone loves and I love the ones that everyone has issues with.

I do like the kona sushi bar (no reservation needed..first come first serve).
So the sushi, the welcome bread, the non-alcoholic strawberry daquiri and the sticky wings and pork chop are good. Other than that, everything else has tasted like it sits under a heat lamp forever and is about the same quality at Applebees.

We love Kona!

We share the sticky wings and then DH has the Steak and I had the Tuna Oscar with mashed instead of the fried green tomatoes. We both order dessert, creme brulee for me and DH gets the cheesecake.

It would be for dinner. The hubby is thinking about the ginger steak. What is the best dessert?

Either the Kilauea torte or the white chocolate cheesecake. I love Kona for dinner!

I'll be there next week! I've only been there for dinner, but this time, I get to go for dinner and breakfast, since we're staying at the Poly. We really loved it.
