If you have ADR's at Kona Cafe, can you order sushi from the Kona Island Sushi Bar and have it added to your meal at Kona Cafe?:confused3

Also, is the sushi fresh? We don't really like sushi that tastes too fishy.

We were able to order sushi while eating at Kona in December. IIRC it was fresh and not fishy :).

Yes you can get the sushi. They even give you a menu to order the sushi. It is very fresh. The pieces seemed smaller when I ate there 2 weeks ago, but still worth it.

If on the DDP does anyone know if you can order the sushi at Kona as your entree and what all you can get?

Any one of the specialty sushi rolls at the Kona Sushi bar can be your entree on the DDP, average pricing around $14. I don't think the individual pieces (nigiri) are valid. Just the rolls.

Here's a photo of the Volcano Roll I had in October, just to give you an idea.

That roll looks so good!

I agree that roll does look delicious.
Does anyone know if they have sashimi available or is it all rolled sushi?

The Volcano Roll is my favorite one on their menu.

I just found this thread while doing a search. Am I correct that the sushi bar isn't something you need to/can make an ADR for, just walk up service? Is there a seating area, or is it just a bar? Does anyone have any pictures? We've been in the Poly many times and I've never noticed it and I love sushi!! Thanks :)

Yes you are correct that ADR's are not available when wanting to eat at the Sushi Bar, so if some seats are free you can sit down right away. Of course the seats are all taken you need to wait for someone to leave.

Oh man! I was going to sit on their lap ;) :rotfl2:

You're welcome and incase you didn't know this, there are also seats at the counter against the window that faces the Polynesian Monorail station. So if the seats were taken at the Sushi Bar you could sit at the other ones.
