Does anyone know what the sleeping set up is at The Kona Resorts? Some of the ads on the TUG site, indicate The Kona Resort will sleep 8, some say 6. We might have 7 for a trip and wondered if I need to find a 3 BR or if there really is a 2BR unit at one of the Kona Resorts that will sleep 8. Also do any of the units at either Kona or Kona II have an OV?

Thanks,

According to II, the 2 BR units sleep 4 privately and 6 total. KCR I has 3 BR sleep 6/8 units. You may want to get a 2 BR and hope for the best, or maybe try to get two units. Also see if DVC will let you search for a 2 BR sleep 8 unit, if so, they might offer you a 3 BR for the price of a 2 BR.

Thanks Dean, I thought you would have the answer.
Call the resort directly, see if they have any other options like a roll away, etc. The number is 808-324-1721 and it's what 6 hours earlier there. But in general, many timeshares only sleep 6 or allow you to trade in for 6 even if they let their members sleep 8.

If they do give you a suggestion, make sure you write it down and the name of the person you talked to.

We stayed there about 5 years ago in a 2 bedroom. The master had a king bed. The second had 2 beds and I believe they were both queens (could have been doubles). DH and myself got the pull-out couch (that was a queen). It would sleep 8 depending on sleeping arrangements. We had 3 couples and our DD was 2 @ the time.
