Which is faster/easier to get to from the Magic Kingdom? Looks like Kona would be since it's on the monorail.

thanx

While I'd agree that Kona is probably the more convenient, shortest time to get there choice, I'm not sure that WC is all that much further away.

To get to Kona you can either take the local monorail (which stops at Contemporary and TTC before getting to the Poly) or take the small resort boat from the MK. To get to WC you take the boat from the MK. I wouldn't expect the transit time to be significantly longer going to WL.

Time wise is very little difference. The WL is a quick, relaxing boat ride from the MK. The restaurants and the food at each is very different. I would check out both places and decide which one you prefer and go with that one. Both resorts are beautiful and a great escape from the park.

We love Kona!

We've eaten at WC once and I can't say anything at all bad about it, the food was really good. WL is gorgeous and a relaxing resort to tour. The two are very different IMO. If you think you'd like a two hour relaxing break then go with WC. If you are wanting great food and easy access go with Kona.

On paper, I'm looking for a relaxing lunch after hitting MK all morning but I know the plan could change for any number of reasons. My wife and I have narrowed it down to either Kona or WC. Just from checking the Disney website this morning, both have lunch adrs available today so it doesn't look like they fill up WAY ahead of time.

We're down there in less than two weeks and I'm thinking I'll book Kona but keep WC in mind and switch if needed.

What do you guys think?

I'd just add that we feel the food is better at Kona. WC seems to rely mostly on "antics" to distract people from the quality of the food.

I totally agree with you. WC was a must do for us until our trip a couple weeks ago. We went without our kids and found that the food quality just did not make up for the fun that we missed without the "show" our kids put on with all the hoopla going on. Also, we tried Kona for the first time and we absolutely loved it! I keep looking at the picture I took of my dinner there and my mouth just waters! :lmao: This is our new must do...even when we bring the kids back next year. :thumbsup2
