I am so sorry about yet another question asking WHERE DO I EAT!!!?

We all love sea food and we would prob. order steak at Kona....

we will be heading to MK after dinner from either HS or AK---spending the beginning of the day there and EMH at MK :D

So....TELL ME WHERE TO EAT!? PLEEAASE!

Personally I would recommend Kona especially since you are going to MK afterwards. The Teriyaki-style New York Strip at Kona was my favourite meal of our last trip and the bread with Macadamia nut butter is fabulous.

Cape May is pretty good but it is nothing special. IMHO, buffets lean more towards quantity than quality with the exception of Boma at AKL.

you will probably get various opinions on this, as Kona is a favorite of many. We like it too, but we tried the Cape May Clambake on our last trip and we were pleased with the quality of the seafood. It was very good--very fresh seafood. They were very busy so that helps because dishes were constantly being refreshed, and the desserts are small so you can try a little of everything. We are taking a short trip after the first of the year and we will go again.

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice you make, Kona is closer to the MK. I would just take a peek at the menus and see if one appeals to you more than the other.

I think one of the biggest differences is that 1 is a buffet and the other food is brought to you. If you have a lot of buffets, you might want to have a sit down. Having a 4 yo, a lot of times at buffets, DH and I do not spend much time together at the table as we need to split out time with watching DD and getting food. BUT since I love crab legs we really enjoy Cape May. (If you decide on Kona it has a great dessert for the kids.)

We always have a ressie at Kona for the MK EMH. We just love it there! It also is very convenient to spend the rest of the night at the MK. I also love the NY Strip there. The coffee is the best to go along with dessert!
We find Cape May to be good but not great. We prefer to go there for the character breakfast.
We do the same for Boma for AK's EMH. Good luck choosing!

Rob

There is certainly nothing wrong with Cape May--the seafood served is frozen not fresh so it isn't PREMIUM. The dessert and salad bars are very good the reminder for me was "meh" at best.

Kona obviously has fewer number of selections. I really like the Asian pasta. Three people with me (at different times) have all liked the NY Strip.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one!

thanks all!!! That was my first thought...but i do love crab legs! :lovestruc

but i think we will be going to Kona :)

I would say Kona. We were not impressed with Cape May. It was just ok and the service was terrible. We saw our waiter twice the entire time. He didn't clear our plates or refill our drinks. Finally a waitress noticed and came over to give us refills and clear our plates.
