We will be in the MK on th 15th, and the park closes at 6pm, I can do a 530pm at Cape May or a 7pm at Kona.... WWYD?

I think the food is better at Kona, but Cape May is an all you care to eat buffet, if that matters to you. Really different experiences, so it is tough to weigh. Personally, Kona is much more my style. I am not a buffet fan at all.

I have never eaten at either, DH likes seafood, but there is seafood on the menu at Kona...I think that transportation wise (we will be at POFQ), Kona might be easier.

Thanks Again!

Like Kona's for steak:thumbsup2 and Cape May is buffet but very good and breakfast there is character but dinner isn't. both good just depends on what you want...be closer by monorail to Kona's for one thing:cool1:

We have never been to Kona, but just ate at Cape May for the first time last week. I loved it! I would have gone back there a second time in the same trip if we didn't have so many other places we wanted to try. The food was great! I especially liked the chicken and ribs!

If I had to choose, I would go to Kona. I have eaten there before and it is very good. Not a seafood fan, so have never been to Cape May for supper, just breakfast.

We really enjoy our meals at Kona, both breakfast and dinner. At dinner, they serve this yummy bread with macademia nut butter--so delish as well as the other menu items.

If Cape May is at 530pm you will have to leave MK at 430pm if you are using Disney buses. So I would pick Kona just to have more park time.

I think there is "a" seafood dish, most often salmon, at every single WDW restuarant. Cape May is appealing to seafood lovers because there are multiple seafood items on the buffet. If I were deciding based on food alone, I would go with Cape May.

BUT I agree with the prior poster that given the early MK closing you should maximize your park time there, not have to be leaving around 4:30 to get to your ADR. Eat at Kona.

For pure planning reasons, I'd go with Kona. My family is a big fan of Cape May and I'd endorse that restaurant for dinner, but if you're going to be at the MK that day, take advantage of the quick monorail ride from the park to the Poly. This way, you can stay in the park as long as possible, and won't have to leave earlier to get over the the Beach Club.

We have been to both and Cape May is one of our favorites, so I would go with that :). Kona ranked up at the top for us until a few years ago when they starting messing with the menu. We stopped going when they took prime rib off the menu :(.

As much as I LOVE Cape May, for planning reasons I would go with Kona. It will be an easy hop on the monorail and won't rush you to leave the park early.
We went to Kona in May for Lunch. The food flavors are a little different, I enjoyed trying it.
