Someone suggested Kona and it got me thinking that it might be a good choice to go to on an MNSSHP night. Since i can get to MK right from the Poly it might be a good choice.

The only question is, everyone says that Kona is good for dinners but what about lunch? I think the lunch hours end at 3:00 and dinner starts at 5:00. So does that mean that the last ressie is at 3? Or would it be at like 2:00 so you'll be out by 3? If it's the last one is at 3 we can have lunch at 3 and then we'd be out and at the park around 4-4:30. Or we can have dinner at 5:00 and be at the park still before the MNSSHP starts.

What would you do?

Usually if their hours are til 3, then that means you can book an ADR at that time. Or maybe just a few minutes before. If not, then I would book 5. You'll be done and in MK by 6:30 ish.

I ahve been for both dinner and lunch, both menus are very good IMHO. We ate here before MNSSHP about two years ago. It was perfect and we had a really great meal.

I have not been for lunch, but last year DBF and I had an excellent dinner there! The smell of that resturant is just amazing.... I wish i could taste everything on the menu!

I'd do lunch as late as possible.

Last year we went to MNSSHP, and I found out on the DIS that even though it starts at 7pm, they let you in at 5PM!!! So you can hit some rides before the trick or treating begins, and get extra time at the park.

So I'd say do a late lunch, then head over and enjoy.

Actually, they'll let you into the Magic Kingdom using your party ticket anytime after 4pm. (I've done it. ;) )

I think if they have the late lunch, they still would have plenty of time to get into the Magic Kingdom before the huge rush of crowds.

We did Kona last year. Had 5:00 ADR's and were seated right away. Food was very good. We took the boat launch over to MK and were there by 6:30-7:00. You can also just walk out and take the monorail over. Plenty of time for the party. Absolutely no complaints. The party ends at midnight so we had plenty of time. Have fun!

We too have gotten in for MNSSHP at 4. :goodvibes

Whatever you do...have a large lunch and plan on snacking in the MK the night of the party. I never understood making a ressie for dinner during party hours. There is so much to see and do...why waste time sitting in a restaurant when you can grab popcorn or a hotdog that evening during the parade???

Ok, i'm going to put lunch @ Kona Cafe as a definite now. It just works with our schedule that day and the menu looks yummy.

My plan is all morning at the hotel/pooh relaxing, then head to ADR at Kona Cafe @ 2:30 and be at the MNSSHP at 4PM. Sound good?
