I've heard great reviews about Kona's desserts, and was thinking about taking ds4 and ds2 there one night after dinner. I know it's at the Poly. Is this place pretty kid friendly? Does anyone have any recommendations about a certain time to go? Does anything go on there at night? We are staying offsite, so I'm not really familiar with the resorts overall, except for what I read on the dis!

Kona is very kid friendly! I most definitely suggest the chocolate macadamia nut tarte. It was amazing. :)

I think it's great for kids - very casual and family friendly. Kid friendly desserts, too!

There isn't much going on in the evening at the Poly except inside 'Ohana, which you can hear/somewhat see from the lobby. Just taking the monorail is fun, though.

There are LOTS of kids at Kona!

I had the Banana Creme Brulee on our last trip.

They bring it out with a banana split lengthwise and crusted with the same sugar as on top of the brulee. An equally delightful surprise is the CHOCOLATE underneath the custard. Absolutely YUMMY!!!
