After so many GREAT REVIEWS on Kona Cafe's breakfast, here on the Dis, I have decided to add a 2nd ADR for Kona! I am so excited to try the breakfast here! I had had one planned for my DH, DS & I. After reading on & on about all the great choices, I knew my Mom, Dad Sis & niece might like it too! [+ my sis has read many great reviews as well] So just thought I'd share my enthusiasm w/ everyone! Just happy to try somewhere new in WDW w/ all of us! Now, I'm torn between 3 choices!!! Tonga Toast, Soman eggs or mac nut pancakes! Might have to do a little sharing.;) Is it wrong to be THIS excited about breakfast? :lmao:

Is it wrong to be THIS excited about breakfast?

Not at all. Kona is great for any meal. I'd vote for sharing- love all those dishes you mentioned!

I would split entree's with someone, that way you can try both the tonga toast and mac.nut pancakes!!! Tonga toast is TO DIE FOR! Oh sooooo good. Enjoy!

Yay for you! Kona is great for breakfast. I've tried both tonga toast and macadamian nut pancakes and I think the pancakes are better. They are really moist and flavorful. But both are good choices.

I'm trying it for the first time next trip, breakfast anyway ate there for dinner in December and it was so good. I'm abnormally excited about breakfast there as well. It was one of my must haves.

We LOVE Kona for dinner, but are not so happy about it for breakfast. Everything is too sweet and dessert-like for our tastes. However, if you enjoy stuffed french toast, for example, I am sure you'll like Kona's for breakfast.

DH and I added a Wasabi Bloody Mary to our breakfast! Too delish!

We've been to Kona for dinner, but we've also not tried it for breakfast, so just before I saw this thread I booked an ADR for b'fast for our Nov trip! :thumbsup2

You're too funny. LOL, I did the same thing. Now to tell Mom we are sharing entrees and she has to order a signature Kona dish.

If you want to order the pancakes or another dish, you can always try Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's Snack Company at the Poly. It's cheaper than in the restaurant. ;)

This is my favorite breakfast ! I dont really like breakfasst. DH had the tonga toast.. it was good but too sweet. I had the mac nut pancakes with coconut syrup...I dream of it...it was SOOOOO good. Go with the pancakes make sure you get some protein other wise you might hit a wall when in the parks.

This is why I really wanna try the eggs ben option. I don't normally eat that sweet of breakfasts. I think coffee will make up for the lack of energy if i so chose to try a sweet over the eggs. :scared1: However the Soman eggs look fabulous!!! My husband got the eggs ben @ WC @ WL in'09 & they were out of this world!

Oh, YUM!!!! That is right up both of our alley too!!! Sounds like vacation to me!!

LOL!!!! I hear ya on the over sweets for breakfast! I will drink enough coffee to make up for any days starting w/ sweets! But, the soman eggs are not out of theQ. They look soo good. They might win my order on one of our trips to Kona!:rotfl:

I subbed eggs for the breakfast meat when I ordered the pineapple mac pancakes the last two times. No problem since I don't prefer meat at breakfast. I always get a bite of DDs tonga toast which is more than enough since it is so sweet. Good stuff there! :goodvibes

Enjoy!
