Has anyone had this lately? If so, can you tell me what the side dish was. I have read 2 different menus. One says it come with a side of mashed Yukon gold potatoes while the other said it came with sticky rice. I was just wondering which is the correct menu. Thanks!

We ate there on August 26th and I had the steak, which came with sticky rice and broccolini. Very tasty!

We have found Kona servers willing to switch out side dishes.

We were there in late June, and it came with the sticky rice.

The menu says it comes with sticky rice but we switched it to mashed on 8/27 as the person ordering it did not like rice.

I ate there last Friday, the 28th. It came with sticky rice and broccolini. I got mashed potatoes instead of the rice.

Mmmmm- it was my best meal all week!

I sub the mashed potatoes for the sticky rice when I order the shrimp and scallops. I've never had a problem, and the server has always seemed happy to do it. Gotta love Kona!

For those of you who just ate there, I was wondering if the portions are big enough to share. My daughter usually wants to split meals with me when we eat out, because she usually thinks she gets way too much food. Thanks!

Hm...the portions are big but the food was so good I think I licked my plate clean If you share an appetizer and stuff you should be fine.

Thanks! Kona is my favorite restaurant, so we try to make it there at least once every trip.

I'm 99% sure you can. I seem to remember a friend of ours ordering the steak without the glaze/pineapple back in September. Disney has always been really nice about making substitutions/accommodations.
