We are staying at the GF and usually do breakfast at the grill or GF cafe ( or in the room). I have seen soooo many posts about Kona that I wonder if we should hop over there for a bite. Is it worth the travel time? Do you need a PS? ( we are going 2 nd week in Nov)

Yes, I think it is worth it.

We always try to make PSs for Kona. You could make it last minute though.

It is a short walk from the GF...10-15 minutes. If the boat is running, that is a fun way to go, too.

i definetly would make a ps cause we waited an hr with out one for breakfast in Jan..it was ok, normal breakfast but a little expensive. you can also take the monorail which depending on your wait for that maybe a 5 min or less ride?

edited cause didn't notice the" gf" and thought "cr" so i think you'd have to go to mk first on the mono so lots longer than 5 mins!

It is definately worth the trip. We were at GF this past weekend..we walked over to Poly for breakfast at Kona Cafe.
The walk is excellent...very short..10 minutes or less, just follow the signs.

Fun part was..if you haven't been already..you can stop at the wedding pavillion on your way back..wow!

It really is worth the trip. I love the tonga toast and DH loves the shrimp omelette. He also really enjoys the French Press Coffee. I like to go there around 11 and it is sort of a brunch for us. It really isn't crowded around that time.

I agree. It's definitely worth it. We had breakfast there and really enjoyed it. We're planning on going for dinner our next trip.

Kona is our favorite breakfast! It's only a short walk from the Grand - maybe 15 minutes tops. We always make a PS just in case but honestly, if you don't, I think you'll get in with a minimal wait. They have great coffee and tonga toast rocks!!!!!!!!!
