Kona Cafe or The Wave

We have always loved Kona but I admit we haven't been to WDW in a few years so our experiences are not current. Still, if they still have their fabulous bread with the Macadamia nut butter you can't go far wrong. Especially since I see they still have Pot Stickers and Sticky wings for appetizers and the Kona Kone for dessert.

I like them both--Kona is a traditional favorite of ours and we enjoyed our meal there a couple of weeks ago. Based on our experience, the rumors of its demise are exaggerated. But IMHO The Wave is arguably the most underrated TS restaurant in WDW and well worth a visit, too. Maybe do both?

I'd go with the Wave for dinner. I dont like the menu or the atmosphere at Kona. I like Kona breakfast, but thats about it.

Ultimately you should look at both menus to see what appeals most to your family, but for us, we prefer The Wave. We used to be big fans of Kona but hadn't been there in a few years. We just ate there 2 nights ago, on the last night of our trip. It was so loud we could barely hear each other speaking and unfortunately, the food and service were mediocre. The bread and butter were still wonderful, but nothing else was.

The Wave on the other hand is a must do for every trip. The food is great, and the atmosphere is much quieter than Kona. It is really a hidden gem, like so many people have already said.

Been to both and both are good. But Kona is the only one I would go back time and time again. Enjoy!

We are going to both in October. We have been to Kona many times but the Wave will be new for us. I have heard great things about it so we are trying it.

KONA...the wave was good don't get me wronge but the pinnacle bread and macadamia butter they do at kona is "life changing " and so yummy ,the other thing i love about kona is it's fast in out meal but so tasty and fresh we did their sushi last time and i loved it! did not feel like park food at all

I've done breakfast and lunch at The Wave and breakfast, lunch and dinner at Kona and I definitely prefer Kona. I've had great service at both but I prefer to menu and atmosphere at Kona. I agree that The Wave is quieter, though I still find Kona to be a peaceful getaway from the park.
