It depends on your preference really. O'hana is a family style meal with the standard fare...eggs, sausage, bacon, the Mickey waffles, etc. while Kona is ordered off the menu. Since you say that character dining can be had or not, then I suggest going with Kona. I like the fact that my food is made for me and hasn't been scooped up for an assembly line of family style bowls. The food IMO is better with more variety at least for the adult menu...not sure about the kids since DS hasn't eaten off the kids menu in 8 years. DS had the steak and eggs last time and loved it. My personal fav is the macadamia nut pancakes with the warm crushed pineapple.
