Hi everyone,

Just curious to know which one you think is a better overall breakfast?

I already have CRT, Crystal Palace, Tusker House and Chef Mickey breakfasts already booked (yeah I know a lot of characters), and I was looking for a last breakfast/brunch for my going home day. I originally reserved Kona because I really wanted to try that Tonga Toast, but now I'm thinking that maybe Cape May might be a nicer way to end the trip, and this way I'd be able to checkout BeachClub too. I'm staying at the WL.

What do you think?

Any coffee fans in the group? The press pot coffee at Kona is excellent. It is a nice relaxed atmosphere as well. I remember Cape May Cafe being a character breakfast (someone correct me if I'm wrong), which could be hectic on the last day. The Poly is a really awesome resort to check out if you haven't before.

Cape may isnt as hectic as the other buffets. its more laid back and quiet. Honestly, im a HUGE fan of Kona breakfast (tonga toast is awesome!), and even thou you already have a ton of character meals already booked, im going to suggest Cape May over Kona. Like you said, its nice to end the vacation with a character breakfast! :goodvibes

Can I suggest one thing? If you really wanna try the tonga toast that bad....why not go to the poly's QS (captain cooks) for the tonga toast?? Its cheaper, and since its a QS you dont need ressies!

Cape May had good character interactions, and the Beach Club is nice to check out, but the biggest downside is no fresh eggs. They only have the premade scrambled stuff, and for the buffet prices, I really would want a fresh "omlette" station where I can get fresh eggs, which is usually fried eggs for me. For some different characters, 1900 Park Fare at the GF does have the egg station and overall I thought had better breakfast food than Cape May.

Now going to the non-buffet world, we thought breakfast at Kona Cafe was REALLY good. The Tonga Toast was nice and sweet (if that's your thing, it was for us), and the "gimme everything" breakfast was excellent (forget the name, but it's fresh eggs, pancakes, potatoes, three meats, etc. One of THOSE things.) Plus the french press coffee IS really good, although a small portion. One pot ("for two") really gives you three cups. For my wife and I who are two-cuppers each, we could've used just a little more.

Is transportation an issue? From WL I would think the monorail resorts might be easier as well.

Personally, I would replace one of your current character dining ressies with Cape May Cafe and also do Kona! These are two of my favorite restaurants for breakfast in WDW and I much prefer CMC to any other character dining restaurant-- much less hectic, better setting, etc. Plus, it doesn't look like you have any other ressies in the Epcot area! Kona is incredible too (great coffee!), so I would really try to squeeze that in as well.

In sum, do Kona and replace either CM or CP with CMC!
