I'd like to take my mom to the Poly for dinner one night during our trip in May. I've eaten at O'Hana's a few times but would like to try the Kona for dinner.

Is it worth it? The menu looks yummy!

We just got back on Sunday. We had reservations on Wed at Kona, it was so good that we cancelled 2 other reservations to come back there 2 more times. It had the best steak we have ever had!:thumbsup2

Our experience with Kona was very good. We went for dinner. When I first arrived I was disappointed because the atmosphere just doesn't look great but once we were seated and the server and food arrived it was wonderful!

We will be returning on our next trip!

GREAT TO HEAR!! :thumbsup2 I'll definitely talk to her about booking a dinner there when our 180 days is here! :D THANKS!

This was my favorite meal last week and the service was great. I'll be posting pics soon. . .

We split the duck potstickers and free bread with nut butter (drool). Dh had the prime rib, which he said was yummy, but not quite as good as the ones we get at our favorite place at home (tough act to follow). I had the panko-battered shrimp with grilled scallops and sticky rice- all fantastic.

The lobby makes for a bit noisy dining experience, but the atmosphere was still nice and service was quick and friendly. I would rate Kona Cafe above what we experienced a few days later at the California Grill (stiff service & overpriced wine).

We LOVE Kona for dinner...it's a must do each trip. If you go, try the sticky chicken wings for an app, they are YUMMY!

We had Dinner at the Kona last Thursday and absolutely loved it!:thumbsup2 I would definitely go back!

We were there last night (I had prime rib, DH had filet) and it was absolutely amazing. Do go and enjoy!

We have ressies at kona at 5;20 on a Friday in Dec when Wishes is at 6PM, can we see the fireworks while eating?
Thanks

Kona is one of my favorite restaurants. I've never had a bad meal there.

We had dinner @ Kona on 9/23...it was our favorite meal @ Disney. My mom did find the restaurant on the chilly side, so bring a sweater if you get cold.

The food was hot and delicious. Our server was fantastic. My mom has a shrimp allergy and she sent the chef out to our table to give us recommendations as to what to stay away from.

I would have loved to go back for a 2nd visit, but we rain out of time. I will go back to Kona in a heartbeat though! :thumbsup2

Ate there on my birthday this year. No complaints! Everyone enjoyed their food.

You can't go wrong with any meal at Kona. Its a great restaurant.

Yes, it's worth it. We love Kona and always try and eat there at least twice each trip. We love the Kona Chowder, Pot Stickers, Coconut Almond Chicken and any dessert. Yum!!!:goodvibes

Never been there before - but based on the reviews (and pictures!!) I've seen here on the disboards ...... I booked 2 (or is it 3?) dinners there for our upcoming trip. Just too much I want to try on the menu! :cool1:

Kona is one of my favorite WDW restaurants, so obviously (IMO) it is one of the best places to have dinner. It is also good for breakfast. :)

I thought the Kona Cafe was just alright. I wasn't overly impressed. I liked the appetizer and dessert better than I liked my entree. We aren't going there on our next trip.

But go ahead and try it out if the menu looks good to you.

Kona is amazing. I've never been disappointed with anything from Kona. My fave is the coconut chicken. I've never had a dessert from there because I'm usually too full, but I think I'm gonna go for it next time I'm there!

We ate there in July with two 15 yr. old girls. We all loved it. The food & the service was all top notch. It was cold, you need a sweater! DH & I are heading down in :woohoo: 30 days :woohoo: I have ADR for dinner there and decided to do breakfast since I've read all good reviews about breakfast. :thumbsup2

It's worth it! We loved it and are planning to go back next trip. It was our 2nd favorite dinner after Jiko
