Hi everyone! Who's done Kona Cafe for breakfast? I know it has the famous tonga toast...my holy grail...I have yet to taste this lovely dish! What else do you like/dislike about it? I can read the menu online, but I'd love some real live opinoins! TIA! :thumbsup2

Never had anything there we didn't like - and this is quite possibly the best coffee on property!!

We ate their for breakfast and all the food is really good but dh had the tonga toast and I tried a bit of his and honestly it was just OK, nothing special:confused3 But they had a great granola/fruit dish, yummy, a great healthier choice, the pancakes were also really good. Also had a breakfast smoothie thingy, also yummy! Sorry no pics though!

For me the Tonga toast is just a bit to heavy- I know please do not flame me lol! My DH loooves it so I always take a few bites of his. We always get a kona press and I love the macadamia pineapple pancackes- but again they are so big I usually can only eat half!

My whole family loved this last year for breakfast, I had the tonga toast and I loved it, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED the Kona Pressed Coffee, that was the best coffee EVER!!!!! Also my DS and I loved the Lilikoi juice, very yummy:thumbsup2

Hi there!! Going to Kona Cafe is always a must on our family trips. We go to the Kona Cafe probably 4 times each trip, it is spectacular. The following is a list of the items that I adore at the Kona Cafe for Breakfast:

Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes - with macadamia nut butter, pineapple sauce and your choice of ham, bacon or sausage.

Delicious!! We always ask for our pineapple and nut butter on the side. I prefer the pancakes to the pineapple sauce.

French Toast with choice of ham, bacon or sausage.

I love the French Toast at the Kona Cafe! I often order the kids french toast simply because it is made with Cinnamon Sugar. The french toast is not mushy and it is delicious!!

I as well, like the Orange-Passion Fruit smoothie!! It is such a heavenly drink.

If you have any questions at all, I will be more than happy to help you!!

Thanks so much guys! I rarely make breakfast like this at home, so I really enjoy some yummy breakfast foods while on vacation. You all make it sound so good, I don't know if I can wait until September!

I'd go just for the pressed pot of Kona coffee.

We went in December 2007. The Tonga Toast is the draw - DD had it, we all tried it - yummy! I had Eggs Benedict - my breakfast time guilty pleasure. My parents shared the big breakfast platter. (Big Kahuna?) That was a lot of food!

All was good. We'd go again.
