Kona Cafe favorites?

We ate there in November. Teriyaki steak with mashed potatoes. Pomergranate pork chops and for dessert:dance3:
CHOCOLATE FONDUE!!
Wow I wish I was there now!!

We almost always get the crab cakes and pot stickers to start, and I am partial to the fish tacos.
This is DH's favorite Disney restuarant. Kids love it too.

TUNA OSCAR--our favorite. We also have enjoyed the Mahi-Mahi and I love the KiKi coconut tart. It is a yummy little coconut cream pie.

For the OP's question on the sticky wings, on the DxDP, it will count as an appetizer for two people on the plan, not just one. But it is worth it, those things rock! My wife doesn't like mustard, so we get it without the "mustard drizzle". Highly recommend!
Ps -- I think these are slightly different, and better, than the ones at Ohana.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I`m getting hungry reading about all that food!

And I think I will get those sticky wings. Minus the mustard glaze for me too!

I LOVE Kona! Always start with the potstickers, love the fish tacos and for dessert the Kilaeua tart. It's too much food but they're all too good to miss. I think the food at Kona is really excellent and unique at WDW.

Has anyone tried the Chef's Experience? I'm wondering how the Pan-Asian Noodles with shrimp are.

I loved the Pan-Asian noodles and shrimp! I found them very flavorful! I guess it depends on the chef at the time.

For an appetizer, I had the crabcakes- delicious! DH had the teriyaki steak, which, although undercooked, had a great flavor! He had a salad for his appetizer. He said the dressing was too sweet (it was a citrus dressing).

DH got the Kona Kone for DS and I had the Kilahea torte. To me, it was dry. But I think it was well worth it and would definitely go back!

Love, love, love the fish tacos. The sticky wings were really good, I even got the recipe for it, made them at home and it tasted like we were back at the Poly. It's brown sugar mixed with soy sauce and a little cornstarch to thicken it.

come hungry and fill up on as much of that delicious hawaiian bread and macadamia nut butter! Last time DH shared two loaves, and we could have still eaten more. We were on the regular dining plan so we were famished by our 9pm adr. If you are on deluxe, as we normally are, you would both have to use your appetizer to get the sticky wings b/c they serve two. It's a huge platter and well worth it. Those are delicious!!! My DH doesnt care for them, no clue why!!! So i dont get to have them, just once he let me. I wish they'd make a 1/2 order. Why is that so hard? I recommend the teryaki steak and you can ask for extra sauce, it is out of this world, OMG GOOOOOODDDDDDD! Hands down favorite, must do multiple times, after 9 visits. MMM. The kona cone is a great dessert. It has a fresh made, slightly warm waffle cone w/ fun toppings and cotton candy.

The last time we ate there DH had the Mahi Mahi and thought it was pretty good. I had the Panko breaded Shrimp and Scallops which were very good too. I looked at the menu on allears.net just a few minutes ago and noticed the Coconut Kiki Tarte is gone!! :scared1::scared1: It was my favorite dessert there and we have ADR's for April and I was looking forward to sinking my teeth into it. Ugh!!! Hopefully they'll bring it back. If not, I'll just have to get another dessert.
