DH and I have a 5:30 ADR for Kona. We'll be heading back to the MK for wishes. Do you think that will give us enough time (Wishes at 8pm). I'd also like to see Spectro at 7 but I think that will be cutting it close. Any thoughts?

I think you should have enough time to catch Wishes in the MK; however, I would suggest watching them at the beach from the Poly. I think that they are even more impressive from a distance than from upclose and its a great new perspective if you've never seen them that way. They pipe the music in onto the beach so you can still get the full experience, and it is usually much less croweded than Main Street. On of DH and I's favorite things to do is have dinner at the Poly, grab a drink and watch the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes from a bench swing on the beach!

I think that you should be fine for Wishes at 8. I think you will definitely be cutting it close for Spectro. We usually line up at least 30 minutes before that starts.
Have Fun!

Plenty of time for wishes. Should take no more than 90 minutes for your meal. That puts you at 7, it should only take 10-15 minutes to get from the Poly to MK at most.

You might be able to if you do what we did last October after our dinner at Kona.

Check in at Kona earlier than your ADR time. You might get seated earlier. After dinner, we did manage to get to the Magic Kingdom about 15 - 20 minutes before the parade. We went through the left tunnel under the train station, headed up toward the City Hall and public restroom area. The curb to the right didn't have that many people. The parade starts from there, so it will finish in that section first.

After the parade, just follow the crowds that enter Main Street to view the fireworks, and you'll be fine. Because I was travelling with my mom and her friend, they wanted a place to sit. So I weaved towards the Plaza Pavilion area and found seats there. It wasn't easy because there were quite a few others with that idea, but it was ok. I don't recommend sitting there if you haven't seen Wishes before.

The best place to view Wishes is front and center on Main Street, with the clear view of the castle in front of you. If you do miss the parade, you still have a good shot at a fireworks view on Main Street.

Thanks for all of your replies. I could have gotten a 5:00 pm at Kona but that seemed too early for dinner. We will probably arrive around 5:10 and check in then and see what happens. We've never seen Wishes or Spectro. We always had it penciled in but never made it back to the park. Since it is just DH and I we will probably be able to move a bit quicker then if we had our brood with us!

I'm also hoping to get in a ride or two but am assuming that once wishes is over the MK is closed for the night. Am I right? We are going on 10/22.
