Kona, Biergarten or San Angel?

it depends on what you like to eat - these are VERY different restraunts with VERY different menus.

personally, we LOVE the kona. the atmosphere at the poly is incredible.

We loved Beirgarten. Buffet with plenty of choices for picky eaters. OomPah band was lots of fun to watch, and many kids get out and dance on the dance floor, although yours may be too old to do that!

Very different experiences. We love Biergarten but Kona was the absolute best meal of our last trip.

I can't say that I really enjoyed San Angel. The food was so-so and our service was the worst I have ever had on property. The atmosphere is great though. We went in 2005. We are going to try it again this year but for lunch.

My favorite is San Angel Inn but nobody else seems to like it. The atmosphere alone is fabulous and I like the food. The Biergarten's atmosphere is fun too and I'd do it again, but I wasn't fond of the seating arrangements. I've only done breakfast at Kona, but the service was good and eating in the Poly's lobby was fun.

I would go with Kona or Biergarten. We ate at San Angel our last trip and we were really looking forward to it-we have always wanted to try it. The atmosphere is beautiful but that was the only positive. Our service was terrible (and I don't ask for much, just smile and bring me my food and refill my drink)-our waiter was rude and never checked on us for refills or if we needed anything, and the restaurant wasn't even that busy-we went at lunch when they first opened. The food was only so-so. I have had much better. This is the only restaurant in Disney World we have ever not liked, we were both sadly disappointed.

I really liked Biergarten. I have not been to San Angel or Kona. The only downside (or maybe a plus for some people) is that you share a table with other families. The food was great and the dancing was fun.

Biergarten is good. Kona is good. Either one you will be pleased with.
San Angel has nice atmosphere but poor food and even poorer service.
San Angel would only be slightly above eating out of the trash can IMO.

I went for Beirgarten because the food, music, dancing and atmospere are fantastic.

Kona is great but the only thing that stands out to me is the wings and bread and butter. I can get a teriyaki steak anywhere

I voted Biergarten--love German food, love the band and the atmosphere. Have never eaten at San Angel--don't like Mexican food.

I voted for San Angel, it has great food and just to set and look at it is breath taking!

We have given San Angel three tries, and each time it has been HORRIBLE! Just my family's opinion, and we are big mexican food lovers.

I voted Kona but I actually think you should do Biergarten (oops) the show is so fun and the food is good too.

Kona is our family favorite! We go every time. The breakfast pineapple pancakes are a huge hit! For dinner there is a fab veggie/noodle dish that is wonderful! The ice cream/candy dessert is my husband's favorite!

We had the same experiance at San Angel. I thought it was too dark my husband dropped his hat and it was too dark for me to find it. The waiter came over with a flash light. We are from Texas and we have Mexican rest. everywhere so it was not very good to us. We ate at Kona and Biergarten and we like both. If you want entertainment Biergarten has a band on stage.

I would go with Kona. San Angel while well themed I am not to big on. Biergarten is ok food, after spending 6 years in Germany it wasn't a good sub for me.

We have ressie at Biergarten Easter week. It will be our first time so I can't comment on the food but I think the kids would enjoy the show.
