Kohls cash question

I probably already know the answer to this, but I just want to double check..

I have Kohls cash to spend. I also have 25% off. If I buy something and use both the Kohl's cash and the 25% off, do they take off the 25% off the total and then use the Kohl's cash or do they take off the Kohl's cash and then take the 25% off the remainder? Does that make sense? I am guessing the latter, but just want to be sure.

They have always used the kohls cash first and then the discount %. Its to their advantage to process that way.

Thanks, that's what I figured. Another question...does the Kohl's cash count towards sales tax? I have a $105.00 in Kohls cash, the item I want is $100.00, with the sales tax it will be $105.00. Will the Kohl's cash cover the whole thing, or will I have $5.00 Kohl's cash left because I can't use it towards sales tax.

Sorry for all the weird questions, I am sending the Kohl's cash with my shopping-hating DH and I want to make it as smooth as possible for him.

I believe they take the KC off pre-tax. So, in your scenario, there would be no tax as your bill would be $0.00. Now, the next question... will they let you use partial KC ($100 out of $105) or does your total purchase need to exceed your KC value?? That one I don't have the answer for. Well, if they can't process it at the register they always have the Godiva chocolates close by. Grab a bar or two to push you over the $105 KC total!
