Kohl's Cash and returns...how does it work?

I'm new to shopping at Kohl's, and I have a question please.

I had a bunch of Kohl's Cash that I earned last week when I purchased a car seat, Xmas gifts, etc. Today, I spent it (online) on several pair of jeans. But, I wasn't sure what size I needed, so I ordered both size 8 and 10. So, I'll need to take back whatever size doesn't fit.

Here's an example. For one of the pair of jeans I ordered, the prices look like this:

Sale price: $17.99
Price after 30% discount: $12.59
Price after Kohl's Cash applied: $5.50

When I return it, am I going to get $12.59 back, or just $5.50? If it matters, I spent about $100 over and above the Kohl's Cash that I redeemed. Thanks for any answers.

If I remember correctly you will get the full credit and not lose any new Kohl's cash if you take the refund in the form of a store credit. If you want cash then they will only give you the smaller amount and if the return makes you eligible for less Kohl's cash, they take what they had given you back also. The store credit is issued on a plastic card so that is what I usually do.
