I have read online reviews, so I'm looking for people here on Dis photo board to chime in. Got any experience with these cameras?

Would I really regret not spending the extra $$$ for the Canon S2/S3?

I'm looking to upgrade from a 3-year old Canon A75 - which still takes nice pictures, but I'd really enjoy the extra optical zoom.

I am not familiar with them, but if they do not offer IS, you would miss that. Without it, you pretty much have to use a tripod for telephoto shots.

the 710 has a really long lag( can't remember which one off the top of my head, think it was between shots). it was much longer than any other camera of it's type( like 5.5 seconds) .only know this as daughter got one and i was considering buying off her so she could buy a TV but after reading the reviews that ain't gonna happen, a mother's love has it's bounds:lmao: also agree about the IS as well.
not sure what the price difference is but the canon's are the upper $200- lower 300 i think so what maybe 50 more? it would be worth it to me...

our family experience with kodak easy share in general has been awful in low light, didn't last very long but that was a easy share 4mp...could have improved but .....
