Kodak digital camera on sale 49.99

Office Depot has this Kodak C530 on sale for $49.99 from $109.99. I don't know how good of a camera it is, but it seems like a pretty good deal for someone looking for one for their kids.

Im not sure about the quality, but when I was looking at them last month, the camera man said to make sure you get one with Optical zoom- not digital- as the lens does not come out for zooming with digital.

I went to Office Depot today to get this and they were sold out. The guy said that 25 people were lined up outside waiting to buy this. Both of the stores near me were out.

Do you think they will price match this somewhere?

I have already purchased the Kodak Easyshare C433 for my DD14 (Best Buy last week), but thought I would get this one for cheaper. Although, I did notice that the C433 has optical zoom while the C530 does not. I was assuming since it was a bigger number, it would be a better camera. I think it just means it has 5MP instead of 4 MP.

I got lucky and got the last one at my Office Depot. It's for my boyfriend. He is clueless on zoom, it will be fine! LOL! (his request was a camera under $100, this fits!)

Get the optical zoom, the c433 looks to be the better camera. Dell had it last week for 79 bucks.

We got the same camera for our daughter. It's a great little camera, and she loves it! We gave it to her for her birthday last week.

Do a google search for reviews before buying a camera as models really vary in quality. Or try epinions.com. I see all kinds of bargains including cameras and toy sets that people are snatching up like crazy that have horrible reviews and complaints about quality. IMO it's not a bargain if it doesn't work or last more than a few weeks.
