Friday 5/6, the Incredibles do MGM and more EPCOT.
We woke up again at the crack of 9:30. I convinced everyone to come with me to POFQ for beignets. When we pulled up to the POFQ gatekeeper, I told him I had a lady with me who just had to have beignets. He let us in and jokingly requested that we bring him back one. Inside the Float Works we literally inhaled our powdered sugar pastries. DW learned the hard way that this could be dangerous. It looked like she was coughing out white smoke. As we were leaving I honked and got the gatekeeper out of his booth long enough to hand him our last two beignets. He just laughed and said "Thanks."
At MGM we received a lot of attention. We were all wearing Incredible shirts. (Unfortunately, the only pictures of all of us were taken by a CM with poor camera skills. I knew we should have let someone take our picture with one of our own cameras.) Apparently, you can't buy adult sized Incredible shirts at any of the parks. I got an evil eye from a guy when he asked where we got the shirts and I answered, "At the Disney Store." It took me a few steps to realize that at Walt Disney World, all the stores are Disney stores. That guy must of thought I was trying to be funny.
So, off to the Tower of Terror. Knucklehead couldn't convince anyone to ride with us so the two of us marched off to meet our doom. Knucklehead did much better this year. He's not scared of the drops. He is scared of the darkness and the shattering glass. I bought him one of those "I survived the Tower of Terror" laminated backstage pass looking things. We had to get one with no name since they didn't have "Knucklehead." The CM at the register let us borrow a pen to write Knucklehead's name in the space provided. He was proud.
Rockin' Roller Coaster was next. Knucklehead hadn't grown enough since the previous Friday when we were here last, so he sat out with me and Bo Bo as DW convinced Grandma and Grandpa to ride. The kids and I hung out in the store so we could see them exit the Roller Coaster. Neither Grandparent wanted to ride again with DW and I using our baby swap ticket. I had noticed earlier that Beauty and the Beast was getting ready to start, so I suggested they take the kids over there while DW and I rode.
We tried to get in the show when we were done riding, but the CMs wouldn't let us in. We just hung out and people watched the people watching us. "Hey, it's the Incredibles!"
The kids and Grandma all enjoyed Beauty and the Beast. Grandpa didn't think it was as good as Tarzan Rocks.
Knucklehead was ready to do Star Tours. The ladies and Bo Bo were ready for Playhouse Disney. Grandpa wanted to come with us, but I convinced him that he would not do well with his motion sickness and all on Star Tours. So he went to see the Bears with the others.
Since we were splitting up again, I told them to meet us in front of the Great Movie Ride. After blowing up the Death Star, Knucklehead and I checked out Darth Tater in the store and then made our way back to the Theatre. We walked around out front looking at all the signatures, foot and hand prints in the cement. I was impressed to learn that they were authentic.
Finally, Grandpa showed up and asked if they sold sunflower seeds at MGM. I didn't think so, so Grandpa decided to go back to the hotel where he knew he could get some more. He don't leave home without them, but I think the Rockin' Roller Coaster exhausted his supply for that day.
The ladies and Bo Bo showed up later and we all rode the Great Movie Ride. Bo Bo loved the Wizard of Oz scenes.
After the ride it was time for lunch. We went and saw "our cousin" Anass at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. He was wonderful. There were two other families mostly done with their meals and they kept getting in trouble. Sometimes on purpose. Anass had spies. The kids who snitched on their parents were rewarded with free desserts.
Amazingly, Bo Bo slept through all this commotion, even when DW had to sing "I'm a Little Teapot" in front of everyone for not asking for permission to get up from the table. Oh, and the food was good too. First, we all had onion rings, then I had the fried fish sandwich, Mom had the Meatloaf, DW had the grilled chicken sandwich, and Knucklehead had chicken nuggets. Knucklehead and I split a shake and s'mores. DW tried to hide what was left of her sandwich by stacking all the empty plates on top of hers. Anass had mercy on her, but still scolded her for trying to hide something from him.
After lunch, and while Knucklehead was getting his face painted again, Grandpa called. He was on his way back to EPCOT. So Grandma decided to meet up with him and do some things there she wanted to do, like shop in the diferent countries. We said we would catch up to them at EPCOT after we did some more stuff at MGM.
First thing we did was the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Knucklehead disappeared in the tunnels, and Bo Bo found a slide he liked.
From there we went over near the Lights, Motors, Action! show to see the Power Rangers. They loudly showed up not long after we did. They had a really cool car with a "boomin' system." And as we were standing in line, I found that Knucklehead's pen wasn't writing. I showed DW and she rushed to the nearest store to buy another one. But, when she told the CM at the register why she was buying another pen, he gave it to her.
DW made it back to us just in time for Knucklehead to get everyone's autograph except the Pink Power Ranger.
This Power Ranger really interacted with the kids and made some of the best poses. Knucklehead was unsure around him, I think because the Ranger didn't speak.
After Knucklehead filled up some pages, we strolled over to see Mushu at the Magic of Disney Animation exhibit. This was educational and interesting. Knucklehead ate it up. He's a huge fan of Mulan.
But, when we exited the exhibit, we saw who we really came to see...The Incredibles. Knucklehead got his book stamped, and we had our picture taken.
I should have done like DW and put my sunglasses on. Oh well.
