I am posting this here!! You guys will understand my happiness!!

HHBG just told me that for my Christmas present this year, he wants to send me on a long weekend trip by myself. He asked me where I want to go...

You know where I said.

I told him I want to go to WDW, stay onsite, and go to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. He said YES!! Well, yes with conditions.

Anyway:

He might be changing jobs, so we're going to have to wait and see if he does first. The $$ would be (much) better, but his commute would be almost 30 minutes longer, so he would have a problem putting the kids on the bus on Monday Morning or getting them off of the bus on Friday evening. He'd also probably have less vacation time, so we're waiting to find out.

BUT

HE SAID YES!!!!!!



I am so going to make it happen!!

Ok, back to our regularly scheduled PTR. Nothing new going on here with the trip as of yet. getting ready for Christmas and our trip.

Yup! I'll post one as soon as plans are finalised. We did choose a weekend!! Oct 17-20.

I am booked and SET for Oct 17-20! I[ll need a new PTR for that one....It'll probably wait until later, though. I'll be going alone (as of now...we're trying to get someone to watch the kids so HHBG can go). AND I'll be CAMPING!! I's psyched!

Ok, on topic for this PTR:

We got the kids $25 in disney dollars each for the trip, and put them in the stockings today. I got me a passporter and a new UoG. Dunno how useful the Passporter will end up being, since I'm not a bag carrier, but I have heard good things about it. Amazon shipped today!

Yay!! I think we'll have a pretty good group going down at the same time.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (of the dancing house lights of 2005 fame). Their music is really great on the album. They are exponentially better live. Absolutely amazing show and music. Amazing.

These guys ROCK! They do the music on that beer commercial for Miller Lite with the house and the lights.

Actually, we are only repeating 2 of the restaurants that we did in May: Flying Fish, because HHBG loved it (And we couldn't get CA Grill), and Akershus.

Might I suggest Bistro De Paris? The absolute best meal in WDW I've ever had!

That looks great! Thanks for the suggestion! We already planned on trying Bistro, but they have a 30 day ADR window, so we have Chefs de France as a backup in case we can't get in. THe food looks awesome, though!

We did the same thing with "Chefs". The Bistro is 10 times better and if you call exactly 30 days prior, you'll have no problem getting a table.

DD is wearing the dress I made for her holiday concert Friday night. Awww...

I am psyched about October. This is kind of a planning down-time for me with the April trip. I need to make clothes, but the desperation hasn't kicked in yet, which will prompt me to go back into the basement and to sew.

ADR's are made, and no real plans to change anything...as of yet. Actually, HHBG just asked me to make some of our tentative lunch ADR's final, so I'll call for a few tomorrow.

We have over 100 days to go (124 to be exact). It's too early to pack. It's too early for a lot of the "other stuff". All I have going right now is my "lose weight so you don't look so horrible in the pics this trip" plan. I'm down 18 lbs from the May trip. I want to lose about 20 more. It's slow going, but going.

Right now, I'm VERY VERY excited about my camping trip/DIS meet. I might have to start a new PTR Probably either titled: "I have no idea what I'm doing, join me in my inexperience" or "The Ip-Dip Fry Daddy Dude Fest '08 - PTR by the camping dude."

HHBG is talking to his folks (VERY experienced campers) about tents and camping supplies for me, and I have a "please help" thread on the camping at Disney thread (I highly recommend that board, VERY helpful people!)

I just wanted to send out the LOVE to my fellow DISers. You all have really brought out the adventurous side I never really knew I had. I love reading about everyone's travels, and reading other people's TRs and PTRs, and I hope I can give HALF the pleasure to my readers that I have received from the TRs I have read...Even the lurkers. I lurk on a number of TRs, so I KNOW you guys are out there.

So THANKS. I know I'm feeling sentimental tonight. Blame it on the holidays and my distant and uncaring family....you guy shave kept me int he holiday spirit, and I really appreciate it....ANd I now my family does too. You all are the reason HHBG agreed to let me camp in October...he knows the DISers will help me out.
