Know where my FAVORITE place in the world is, Mommy? I'm OUTTA HERE!!! Dude OUT!

Changing our minds...or are we??

So, the kids' special ornaments I ordered on eBay arrived today. DS has a dumbo ornament and DD has Ariel. My Stitch is on his way!

Today, I put all of my itinerary info into the itinerary planner that Disney offers. Maybe we do need to figure out which park we'll go to which day, because we have no planned meals at some parks. Hmm....

HHBG and I also played with the idea of upgrading to concierge (It would be $1200 extra for the week! ), and we thought about adding the deluxe dining plan, since we have the equivalent of 11 TS meals scheduled in our week....But we couldn't use the meals at the kids club, so we would lose almost all fo the kids meals. That's no fun. I'll need to run some more numbers, though. It might still work out for the two of us, since we're eating at so many of the expensive restaurants....though we are usually "share an appetizer and dessert at the most" people. Hmmm.....

A BUNCH of my disney fabric came in the mail, too! Just need to wash and then figure out outfits!! Woohoo!! Ummm...I hope no one realises the kids are wearing cut up vintage sheets....:scared1:

I am going into the city to meet HHBG tomorrow to re-up our wireless phone contracts with Verizon.

Right now we have the old LG phones, and love them. However, I want something to act as a portable internet access machine also...but I would prefer something I could still shove in a pocket and use as a phone without looking ridiculous (I always forget to charge my bluetooth...uh, and lost it last month.). Am I asking too much?? Anyone have Verizon and suggestions?? :confused3

LURKERS! Come out with your suggestions. :) PLEEEASE??

Ran the numbers...sticking with CASH.

*sigh* I caved. We have plans for which day will be which park, and I am going to make some lunch ADRs.

Tentative plans:

4/19 - Arrive MCO around Noon. ME to WL. Dinner at Whispering Canyon
4/20 - Spend day at MGM. Get ADR for PTC for lunch. Dinner at Akershus
4/21 - Epcot. ADR for Lunch at San Angel Inn. Parent's night out. Kids in Club. Flying Fish Cafe.
4/22 - Animal Kingdom. Get ADR for lunch at Yak and Yeti (Do they take adrs?) Kids in club for night. Dinner at Chefs de France, trying to change to Bistro de Paris at 30 day mark and see fireworks.
4/23 - Magic Kingdom. Breakfast at CRT. Kids in club. Dinner at Fulton's Crab Shack. DTD clubbing??
4/24 - Magic Kingdom day 2. Leave around 2ish, get late lunch at Tony's (maybe a resort on the loop? 'Ohana? Concourse Grill? Somewhere else?), return to resort and swim until kids need to be in club. Dinner for TWO at Artists' Point.
4/25 - Magic Kingdom day 3 (probably). Repeat yesterday's procedure. Kids in Club. Dinner at House of Blues, stay for show.
4/26 - spend morning in pool. Check out at resort. Flight leaves at 4. Cry.

Now all I need is to color code this into my PDA.

Wait....I need a PDA....

OOh. Christmas list!

:santa:

The only thing I say "Hmmmm" about is the Akershus dinner. It's not like it used to be in the old days (late 90's). Epcot has a LOT better choices now with the new restaurants. Just my two cents. ;)

You must be feeling better.....lots of chatting...:) ;)

Actually, just feeling cooped up. I was going to go to the city today, because I was thinking I could handle it, but they cancelled school because of the storm that's SUPPOSED TO hit. Not even a flake yet. :headache:

We did Akershus in May, and the little girl LOVED it. Yeah, the food was OK at best, but it was the best character interaction we had (the kids liked talking to the characters), and it ran very smoothly when we were there. It's the ONLY thing the little girl asked to do again, so we are letting her.

You know about the "doing stuff because it makes your kids happy" thing, dontcha? :thumbsup2

Back to entertaining kiddos!

Not a lurker, I guess, but we have Verizon, and dh got a Treo back in August. I have to admit, I don't really like using it as a phone, strangely enough - I'm not quite sure what it is, but it just isn't ideal. It does work as a limited internet access - ok for some stuff, but not everything, since it shrinks everything down, and is relatively slow. But, it probably would be able to handle your itinerary, too. It fits in dh's pockets, but probably wouldn't fit in most of mine, lol. (He's trying to get me to upgrade when my contract expires in February). Another issue I have with it is that since he has it synced with our office Outlook address book, he doesn't seem to *also* have a normal phonebook, so you have to look through the 3000+ names in Outlook. I realize that isn't an issue for most people, of course!

Btw, my favorite Treo program is Google maps - it will tell you where you are (GPS enabled!), and you can even have it show traffic levels in major metropolitan areas! (Major highways only, tho) It also has a couple of games - dd found the Bubble Breaker game quite addictive. (Ok, so do I) We may break that one out during long waits, if necessary...

Well if you just did it in May, why do it again??? :confused3

Reach out of the box... Explore... Try new things... :yay:

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Our contract is up in early January, so we are looking at upgrade uptions. I think we'll just have to go and try some out.

HHBG is ADDICTED to GPS, I swear. He has it in his jeep and in his phone. He cracks me up.

Listen MISTER....

Actually, we are only repeating 2 of the restaurants that we did in May: Flying Fish, because HHBG loved it (And we couldn't get CA Grill), and Akershus. Everything else is new. Last time we did:

Boma
Jiko
Sci Fi
Rainforest Cafe
Crystal Palace
Tony's
Chef Mickey's
Victoria and Albert's
Flying Fish
Akershus
Coral Reef
CS at AKL (Mara?)
Earl of Sandwich
Pizzafari

Note, the all-different meals. :p I really want to eventually try all of the restaurants in WDW. Akershus is a nod to the little girl. Get off my back! :headache:

;)

:grouphug:

We don't tend to like much Asian food in most areas of the country, because we can get awesome food in Chinatown and Little Japan in NYC whenever we want it. We ARE toying with Marrakesh for lunch one day, since we have the park hoppers...maybe before Artist Point, since that's a really late dinner (could only get 7pm). We tend to be kind of foodies and snobs about "good" food. It's either worth the $$ or we want it cheap and plentiful. popcorn::

What's a snowstorm?;)

Yeah, I'm wondering that myself right about now. We got an ice storm. FYI: that is when sleet and freezing rain come down for 4 hours, caking everything, and you make the man in the family go out and chip it off of the cars before he's allowed dinner. ;) :rolleyes1

Yup. We were supposed to get snow. The worst thing is, it didn't even really start to come down until almost 2pm. I hate when they waste snow days on days the kids could have gone to school and come home safely. :headache:

We went to the BEST concert ever last night!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (of the dancing house lights of 2005 fame). Their music is really great on the album. They are exponentially better live. Absolutely amazing show and music. Amazing.

THEN.....

They had a special surprise guest: ROGER DALTRY!! I still haven't gotten my voice back!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

If you have the opportunity to see TSO, TAKE IT!

Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Uh, did this post come off as being mean? it wasn't meant to be, just tongue in cheek. I know I fail at that a lot. I'm sorry if it read as being mean. Did I scare everyone away? :sad1:
