Okay, so today is actually day 28 turning into 27, BUT I am behind on posting this.
Before we go I really need to mess with the settings on this camera to get it to work right. I just really dislike this one, always ends up pretty blurry looking, doesn't like to focus on the correct things, and has a real long shutter speed.
The book, I liked. It was a little older but still was just the right size for DD. It did mention Toontown, which gave me another chance to explain how Disney World is a bit different this trip and that Toontown isn't there anymore.
and last but not least, their list of tips: (I like number 7!)
sorry for making yall wait for this one.
Also, We bought a few things, like sun screen and more ibuprofen for DD. Now I just need to find shoes for me, I just realised I am NOT going to want to wear my winter boots!![]()

When my shoes wore out in the fall, I just switched into the boots and been using just them since... since it was snowing AGAIN today, haven't been pressed to get shoes. but with only 28 (soon 27) days left, I better get cracking so I can wear them in a bit.

I am so glad that you were able to get the referals you needed. It is very fustrating when doctors don't listen to you, but also very satisfing when one finally says "yes, I think there is a problem." Hope your DD gets what she needs soon.
I love the fact that this is the first doctor we have seen that actually addresses DD FIRST. and talks directly to her throughout the appointment. Not just asking me questions, but her too. Not just asking me if I have any concerns, but asking HER if she has any.
I am sorry to hear that your phone decided to take a swim. (Don't they know they can't swim.) ... and luckily it started working again about 30 hours later. Being with out a phone in florida was scary.
That is why I am thankful I have enough time to replace it before we go.
Are you guys going to be out here before your trip? If so, I bought my scetchers at Burlington Coat Factory at Gurnee Mills for $30. I love them.
See, I am a budget shoe shopper, never paid more than 12 bucks for a pair of shoes. Which makes it hard sometimes as I have a wide width but wally world doesn't carry many wide (or even half sizes!) But we should be down Friday and Saturday, but leaving Sunday morning to get back in time to spend some mom's day with my mom. So speed trip.
Congrats on being 27 days!!!Before you know it we will be "Home".

Great pics! Loving the daily countdown and activities.
Make sure you break in your shoes before you come here. You don't want blisters from brand new shoes!!
don't you just hate it when you write a reply and it disappears.
YES!
I am the same way with shoes, I hate spending to much on shoes. But the last time I got shoes about a month before our trip and had to throw them out when we got home. So this time I went with a better brand and spent a little more (but not bad considering they are a $60 pair if shoes) and hope to get at least a year out of them. I have trouble finding shos also. I wear size 9 1/2w.
that's what I wear in mens.
I would also recomend getting socks that wisk away moisture. Dry feet means less chance of getting blisters.
i have some tought feet so pretty lucky in that i rarely get blisters. only times i do is if i didn't get a chance to really wear the shoes before, such as dress shoes as a kid.
Let me know if you would like to meet up at the mall this weekend. My DD will be home so the girls will be able to meet. No problem if you can't.![]()
I pack a zip-lock bag of rice on trips just in case my phone takes a swim. I take the battery out of the phone dry everything off with a towel and put phone and battery in the bag of rice.
Glad to hear your DD finally got a Dr. to listen to her. That gave you referals.
My Brothers had their adnoids removed, which helped their sleeping and reduced some of their allergy misery.
We use fake crocs from kmart($6) but since Foster son is the only one who walks in them we rotate them with sale lands end sneakers, I am no help on good shoes for the power walk you will do at WDW.
Do you use cooling cushions in DDs stroller?
Sorry for the Threadjack Singledad.![]()
Sorry Singledad for interupting the cute picks.Hope you do not mind info insert.
HI new poster. BRAT sent me over with a great review, so I knew I couldn't pass it up, and she was right. I must admit, I did just read your links so far and the last page. Your DD is just adorable. Sounds as is you have everything totally under control. Crossing your T's and dotting your I's.
Here's a link to an inexpensive sneaker that DH declared his favorite Disney shoe ever. Now he is a boot and or sneaker wearer. We even went and purchased an extra pair because whenever he finds a shoe that he finds comfortable they take it off the market... It always happens that way, isn't that the truth!!

I'll be around. Some days are harder for me to post than others, but we have quite a bit common in our meds list, so we should get along just fine!![]()
welcome to the party!
I'll have to check out that shoe, got a dick's sporting goods about an hour and 20 min away from me. shoes are so hard to find. half size and wide width. so few places carry both.![]()
They definitely come in both wide and 1/2 size, but my experience with Dicks Sporting is to call and make sure they have your size, especially if it is a long ride. They will transfer from store to store and you are not under obligation to purchase.
Sorry Singledad for interupting the cute picks.Hope you do not mind info insert.
I asked Singledad about the cooling cushion because he and I have talked cooling issues before. Cooling cushions come in different types, I do not like the type that leaves you wet.
Since your DS is small enough to fit the same stroller you could use a Meeno Coolme cushion but it might not cool him enough as it mostly wisks away body heat with air pocket in layers of fabric.
There are two types of gel ones, the one you freeze which I can not sit on(I do not feel if it doing damage, and the say no for kids or elderly useing as well).
So the gel ones I like and use are the ones that have gel in them that melt into a liquid over about 8 hours. They are not cold but cool. They absorb your heat over the day and are ready to use again the next day.Medical supply will sell you a pricey one which you might get insurance to pay.If that is not the case which means out of packet go Amazon.com or simular place and type in cooling cushion- they come in different sizes and prices.Since you are pushing him in a stroller get a smaller lighter weight one.
The other type of cooling cushion work like the pump-cooled cooling vests.
I tried explaining how to make one of those to Singledad but could not write directions that work.
Hope this info helps.Feel free to pm questions we use many cooling products.
Everything is a long ride where I live! even Walmart is 30 min away!
I promise to update this soon, just been a bit busy with life. we are so getting down to our final days, I can't wait!![]()
When we lived in PA we lived in the middle of no where, surrounded by farm country. I hear you about long drives to stores. When we moved to Florida having a grocery store or convenience store was a must!
Yeah, it has taken a little bit to get used to the idea that I can't just walk down the block to a store. Grew up in a city. (Milwaukee)
Have you started packing?
