Know what would be cool? If we could live at Disney! - PTR - !PHOTO HEAVY! COMPLETE!

So, we are getting closer and closer! tomarrow we take off the day 20 ring, as we will be at 19 days! :scared1:

We have gotten all of our 'Mickey Mail'. What is mickey mail you ask? I have assumed this covers everything to do with WDW! From the mailings from WDW itself, to postcards sent via fair godmailers, to big gives! (If you don't know what any of these are, feel free to PM me and I can explain.)

Since I myself was so curious as to what mailings these are from WDW, I figured I'd share a few photos of the mailings I received, as the result of booking a package, with magical express service.

First thing I received is my planning mono-mail.

231029_10150589504605584_663425583_18637591_6648540_n.jpg

Inside was a planning booklet, with some suggestions for me to do such as booking dining, and a few rides we may like to do. This was tailored to me personally, including our family name and details like a photo of the resort we are booked at, and ride suggestions for younger children. It even stated what dining plan we have. Also included was the planning DVD. This was fun for me to watch, but DD got a little bored with it as the clips of the action parks and rides were much too short!

~~~
About a week or two later I received my package mailing. This is something I did NOT get last year as I had booked room only, not a package.
Inside was a larger sized booklet with my coupons that are included in the magic your way package, along with the collectible luggage tags.
228011_10150589505835584_663425583_18637614_5664067_n.jpg
I've tried to edit out my name and reservation numbers, so if you are wondering why I have my hand covering things, or you see a blurry spot, that is why.
227806_10150589506045584_663425583_18637618_3325364_n.jpg
225792_10150589509060584_663425583_18637671_89574_n.jpg
Now in case you are wondering, on each voucher, either front or back, is my name, some code numbers that I assume link to my ressie, and the dates of my package. These vouchers are ONLY valid during these days. So if you are doing a split stay like me, remember this in your planning.
224796_10150589506525584_663425583_18637624_5165286_n.jpg
The last page has these on it:
230443_10150589506290584_663425583_18637620_5447880_n.jpg
all ready to fill out, punch out, and put inside your tags.
Now these tags (this is year 2011 for future reference), are holographic in nature.
Last but not least is our Magical Express packet. Now, I didn't get mine around the same time as others going around the same time. So I called and they sent them out. Not sure what happened there, but I got them about 4 days after I called so all was well. Not that I didn't know what to do if they DIDN'T show. :rolleyes1
So that sums up the basic Mickey Mails.
Now I just need to finish packing! :eek: But laundry is a must! :laundy:
:idea: anyone volunteer? :laughing:
oh and since a posting just isn't complete with out some DD photos, here is one of both of us from this mother's day. We are at a small zoo that we wandered to with Grandma (and papa too!).
222764_10150588870135584_663425583_18630379_5511998_n.jpg
and today the temp was a high of 75, so DD went to school like this:
I think it is sort of humorous how I must have ingrained in her the need for clothes in public... why do I say that? because she insisted she needed to wear shorts or pants under her dress! :confused3 The girl that strips down to underwear the moment we walk into the door, insisting on more clothes! :lmao:
Man, I love my funny girl!
Only 19 days? I'm totally jealous. And as obsessive as I am about my future trip in September if I as at the 19 day mark I would have probably already packed :laughing:
I just hate packing. it means doing laundry. :laundy:
Which I hate. Time to call grandma! :lmao:
Its been in the 90s here too. It really stinks because Luke has only a few outfits that were not packed. I also despise laundry and didnt get it done so he unpacked so he would have clothes to wear this week. Bad mommy, I know. Anyway, still have laundry and packing to do here, in fact, I still have shopping. Nothing like waiting till the last minute! We leave in 11 days!
I'm afraid i'm going to end up bringing all dirty clothes in the suitcase (at least for myself) and having to do our laundry the very first night. :rotfl:
I'm 19 days away and I still need to buy SHOES.
We've been in the high 80's, low 90's since tuesday. I am not really a heat kinda of girl but I am doing alright with no air. Hate to turn it on and than turn it off when it goes down in the sixties again.:guilty: Ended up doing it yesterday because we had lots of thunderstorms in the area. Did you get them last night Singledad? They were quick but very frightning to Liam (my scardy cat.
Before you know it we will be down there and enjoying Magic Kingdom.:cloud9: I can't wait.
yeah, same weather here, and we dont have C. air, and the ground outside hasn't been stable enough (ie not a soggy muddy mess) to support the braces for the a/c's. So stuck with just the overhead fan, which is why i am still awake. :scared1: I really am a cool weather guy, and can't sleep without it being cool to cold. :confused3
I was afraid I was going to get a call from DD in the middle of the night with the storms, thankfully she must have either slept through the night, or calmed easily by papa. I really wish I didn't work 3rd shift so I could be here more for her. :sad1:
and I totally can't wait either, everyone i know is counting down too.. and my stepdad asked my mom the other day if she knew why I am a bit obsessed with this 'whole disney thing'. :laughing:
My DD is always asking me to watch videos anytime I have the computer open, which means videos of Disney on youtube :lovestruc Today we were watching some and I got a wave of excitement, 19 days! :banana:
:welcome: welcome to the party! Thanks, I too think she is one terribly cute girl. :goodvibes I hope I get some good passed out photos this year too. :thumbsup2
I'm on my 2nd load of laundry for the morning...we are either the cleanest or dirtiest? I haven't figured that out yet, but it seems I am doing about 3 loads a day. Swimming increases the laundry load too. It's a never ending saga, just thankful my washer and dryer are working!!
We are getting closer and closer to our trips!
I'm one of those people who waits until I am standing there looking for clean (insert word), and figure out I need to actually do the laundry now. :rotfl: I usually run out of clean shirts.... I got enough socks and underwear to last nearly two months. :thumbsup2 Yes, even for DD... :laughing:
thats exactly how it is at my house. I think this might be why I hate laundry as much as I do. I honestly do not know how we generate so much because Kara does hers on her own and Jess is about half and half now. My washer broke a few weeks ago and though it was only out of commission for a day, it seemed like it took forever to catch up on all of the laundry. Definitely a never ending saga!
So, you wanna Idea of why I am 'behind' on this PTR? well, in less than an hour we will be down to 15 days. :scared1:
tuesday is OT day, and work from 7pm to 7am
Let me stop a moment to explain OT day... these are the days that I get DD ready and off to 'little school', I wake her around 7:30am, headstart bus picks her up around 8:15am. I have to leave the house myself by 10:15 to pick DD up from headstart and drive from there to 'big school' (about a 20 min drive (11 miles)). DD has Occupational Therapy for a half hour, (11am-11:30am), DD and I then go to the school lunch room and eat lunch together as her class doesn't start until 12:10pm (earliest kids can be dropped off is 12:05pm). I drop her off at class between 12:05 and 12:10 and I go home, where i get to nap for 2 hours, and head back to pick her up from school by 3:05pm. I also tend to work that night, from 11pm-7am. so if I am lucky enough to not have errands to run that day, we can go home and I can hopefully get sleep. if I have errands, or I am just having one of those 'nights' where I can't sleep... well then I don't sleep. So OT days are hard on me. :)
OT days are normally both Tuesdays and Thursdays every week, but between something similar to special Olympics and the end of the school year, these two weeks are different.
Thursday no OT, work (11pm-7am)
friday go to dads (call first, to make sure okay. I don't want to go into details why, but it is due to a family member's health being questionable right now.)
sat/sun be at dads, leave sunday pre-supper, so we can get home before 11pm, I hope. (4 hour drive.)
DD school monday, try to get into chiro again pretrip.
OT tuesday, +work
thrusday is zoo trip(which I go on.), +work
don't forget to take weighted lap pad home on friday
cash check, making sure to keep cash enough for things I will need cash for at Disney, and just to keep me feeling 'safe'. +work
clean car by saterday night.+work
pack car sunday,
work sunday 11pm-7am
come home(monday),
nap until about 2pm,
get up, get us going by 4pm
get to BIL's around 8 to 9pm,
attempt to sleep!
up by 4:30am or so, out door by 5am? began trip!
Are you as exhausted as I am already? :lmao:
and since you are all here soley for the pic's of DD... ;) Here is one of her going down a water slide in the Wisconsin Dells, at Kalahari resort in fact.
Unknown when: update PTR with pics from day 20, and Girl scout dance. [Okay, lets try this!
So, on day 20 we listened to a little bit (and I do mean little) of Disney Music. Our playlist?
225074_166836213376467_100001502679473_423364_6311227_n.jpg
Yes, that is right, I have Disney songs in German. Why? I took German in high school and one semester of College. Being able to 'show off' to a teacher that you have music in the language you are trying to learn, well it helped me get a bit of extra credit. (at x-mas time, as I brought in a cd full of holiday music all in German. as per prof's request.)
So, here is photos of our chain: (please forgive all clutter/mess in the background.)
Here is DD with the link she removed:
Now.. I said that I was going to share dance photos... See, DD joined the girl scouts in march. She finally turned 5 and could join. :woohoo: This last Saturday, they held a He and Me dance. The girls got to invite any adult male role model they wished to this dance. My DD had invited my father up, but due to an emergency that came up, he was not able to attend. :sad1:
So, Me, Papa Rick (my stepdad) and G-Mama (my mom) all came. Here are a few photos:
230292_166805300046225_100001502679473_423022_5891630_n.jpg
That is her laughing at something. :confused3 forgive me, I can't remember what.
Now, they did games during this 'dance' (there wasn't much dancing.. but we still had fun!) One of these games was a Cookie Race. I never heard of this before, but apparently there are a ton of youtube videos of this game. Basicly, you put a cookie on your forehead and you can only use your face to move it from your forehead into your mouth. I got some great photos of DD attempting this feat. She lost at least 7 cookies to the floor before two people won. After the winners were declared, she just went ahead and ate the last cookie (non-floor touching cookie). BTW, I removed her glasses after the first cookie got stuck on them.
225819_166834500043305_100001502679473_423354_6704147_n.jpg
I had to tell her as I was taking this shot, don't use your hands!
Notice the cookie dust!
And, eating of the cookie:
Now, to get back to the check list of stuff to do! :wizard:
15 days!!!
p.s. This is a photo DD took of Me while I was DJ'ing.
