We are in Anaheim for 5 days in November.

We are trying to decide whether to have 5 days at Disney or have 3 days at Disney and 1 day at Knotts

I have heard from friends that Knotts is a dissappointment after Disney

I grew up down the street from Both parks. They are very diffrent! Don't try to compare them. I would say go to Knott's but go on day 1 or 2. I love Knott's Berry Farm (there chiken dinner is great!)

Knotts has a couple of really fun roller coaster-type rides that you won't find at Disney. Camp Snoopy is fun for the little ones. I agree about doing Knotts first - then Disney if you decide to do both.

Does anyone have experience with the halloween special at knotts? We are going to be at DL on our honeymoon in 2 weeks and thought about doing the haunted thing at knotts one night.... we have done knotts before and one evening over there would be fun... any opinions on teh halloween event?

thanks
kc

Knotts Scarry Farm!! I had a blast as a kid going. But then again I'm a HUGE Knotts fan (almost as big as fan as I am Disney)

Be sure to book a Pre-Scare Dinner if you do Knott's Halloween Haunt. It's a great buffett and includes Mrs. Knott's chicken. This will get you in the gate before the masses do and will be you single best opportunity to find short lines on GhostRider and Xcelerator. The rest of the evening should be concentrated on mazes and scare zones. Whatever you do, don't miss the hanging!

<font color=navy>Here's another vote for Knotts. Don't compare it to Disneyland & you'll have a great time. It has a charm of its own, and there are enough different things to do that your family should enjoy themselves - don't miss the Mystery Lodge, and I agree - the chicken dinner is delish. :)

We've also done Knott's Scary Farm and that is so much fun. My advice for that is to go prepared to get in the mood to be scared (in a fun way), and concentrate on the mazes and shows rather than the attractions - although you gotta go on the Log Ride & Mine Train Ride. The hanging is a great outdoors show & is funny & ghoulish at the same time - well worth watching.

The closer to Halloween, the more $ and more crowded.

We went on Friday the 13th & there was a full moon -- Ghostrider the wooden rollercoaster was awesome. My kids can hardly wait to go back. :teeth:

I think based on these replies we will definitely be going to Knotts. We will probably do Disney on the first day then do Knotts the next day and then have the last two Disney Days

Thanks for all the replies

When I was growing up, you didn't go to Knott's Berry Farm without going to Disneyland. I love both parks, and I always tell anyone going to SoCal not to miss Knott's. It's changed a bit since the Knott family sold it to the Cedar folks, but much of the original charm is still there.

Don't miss;
The Log Ride
Ghostrider
Big Foot Rapids
Calico Mine Train
Knott's Railroad
Mystery Lodge
Supreme Scream
Montezuma's Revenge
Ghost Town
MRS. KNOTT'S CHICKEN DINNER RESTAURANT
(This is easily the most enjoyable and most affordable meal you will have on your entire vacation)

Have fun and give us a full report when you get home.

Knott's if fun if you like thrill rides (coasters). It is not Disneyland but it isn't suppose to be.

I remember going to Knott's Scary Farm as a kid and getting to ya know what scared out of my on the train.
