We're (2 adults no children) going 7/30-8/4 and wanted to take a day (Saturday) to go to Knotts Berry, while I can imagine it will be crowded, I would like to experience some of the bigger coasters (planning later in day to go to Soak City for a while). I like the coasters the best, then the water rides. Does anyone have any tips like, which one to go on first thing in AM and so forth? With the Search feature "disabled" I can't seem to find any threads regarding this. We're staying at HoJo on Harbor. Thanks in advance for any input.

GhostRider and Xcelerator will be the only ones that will generate long lines. I would go to GhostRider first as it is closest to the gate and all of the sprinters will head towards Xcelerator which is in the far back corner of the park.

Xcelerator will rarely get longer than 30 mins. If there are two trains on, it cycles reasonably quickly. Fewer people have the guts to ride Xcelerator than GhostRider. It's a first of it's kind and it's a blast.

Boomerang is a rough coaster. Lot's of head-banging. 6 inversions in a very small space.

Montezooma's Revenge is an absolute classic, must-ride shuttle loop coaster. Only three of these still operate in the US. Knott's has taken great care of this one and still runs as well as Day 1 (1978).

Jaguar! is a decent family coaster. It rarely has any wait. Seats are narrow, so two adults should sit in separate rows.

Other must dos:
- Mystery Lodge
- Calico Mine Ride
- Timber Mountain Log Ride
- Ghost Town and Calico Railroad (real narrow guage train which has been at Knott's for over 50 years and is quite beautiful.
- Independence Hall (adjacent to Soak City)
- Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant

This is why I love these boards, you can ALWAYS find what you need. Thank you Uncle Buck!!:teeth:

<font color=navy>I agree with everything Uncle Buck says.

Ghostrider is my favorite wooden rollercoaster. After you do it in the morning, do it again in the evening for a different feel @ nighttime. :)
