Knoebels experts...I need your help!

If you take the exit out of the parking lot, directions to miffliville, make a right adn follow the road out past the cemetary then left to through the intersection signs point to Elysburg.....
Better to google or yahoo maps directions from the hotel though. They may send you through another I 80 exit. This is the closest and shortcut for us.

There is a Econo lodge in danville, for about $69 a month and poor reviews for some reason......

That's the way the toilets are there....there are no seats. It's like a rim and a seat all in one . That's the one thing I really hate about Knoebels. I love everything else, but hate the toilets! I just take my time and line the thing with t.p. I've never had a problem finding soap in the bathroom though, but I always carry hand sanitizer everywhere I go anyway!

Check out the small bathrooms over by the park office/Stony Gables Fudge Shop. They had seats when we were there in June.

We are going next week and staying at the EconoLodge in Shamoakin (sp?) Dam which is 14 miles away. That one is supposed to be a blue ribbon property. The one in Danville has no pool, but this one does. I'm paying $76 but could have gotten $71 if I didn't want fridge and microwave. We shall see how it goes, I guess.

Oh, thanks for the warning about the McDonald's! We'll find something else then. We should only need lunch as we are doing bargain night and will eat at the park before 6PM. Is it an easy drive to Knoebel's from that area?

The ride is easy enough.Its about 25 minutes on a 2 lane highway.Pretty views also depending on which way you go. Cant beat bargain night. great deal

We will be there for bargain night tomorrow. We eat supper first, then get in line for handstamps at 5:45 pm. It is just the right amount of time if you are a regular to the park. DD7 hopes she is able to get the brass rings on the carousel. I hope too so she isn't crying on the ride.

Thanks! We aren't regulars, we are first-timers, but we are on a budget so I had to do the cheapest we could. I will splurge and let the older boys do rollercoasters a few times, but the little ones won't want to ride those.

We have had a rough summer since my Dad died in July, so I wanted to give them one fun experience right before school starts. We had a wonderful vacation to TN planned but then he got sick so we had to cancel. In fact, my hotel stay is coming from Choice giftcards that I had bought for the TN trip. We had taken them to Busch Gardens/Williamsburg for 3 nights in June instead but then it got bad and he passed, so there has been no fun for them since.

Even if they don't get to do everything though, I know they willl enjoy themselves.

We are going with boyscouts next week. Staying at the campgrounds. First time for us, too. Thanks for all the food tips my 3 grandkids and I love to eat!!! Can't wait to go, but not so sure about tenting.

You can check out the calendar they have posted on their website. They're open weekends until almost the end of Sept, as well as the weekend of the Covered Bridge Festival (which is usually the first full weekend in Oct but I can't find any info on it for this year). For the festival there are limited rides and food stands open, but they also add some local food stands as well as lots of crafters.

They used to open a few rides and shops for a couple of weekends in December, but I don't know if they are still doing that or not.

They haven't done any Halloween events that I am aware of.

Just got back an hour ago!! Had alot of fun as usual, but it was sooo crowded. We usually go weekdays and this was our second time this year. One thing that bothered me alot this time was people smoking. I had a slight headache all day so I think I noticed the smell of smoke a little more, but geesh I couldn't get away from smoke all day.
