Knoebels experts...I need your help!

fairydust - where do you live? We're near Williamsport and we don't get to Knoebels nearly as much as we'd like (gas prices and all). If we lived any closer we'd be there every weekend.

Small World, I am from South Williamsport, it is so nice to feel so close to home right now!

Have a great time, I am hoping to be there at the end of the month.

We just got back from spending the weekend there. All the food is great to hard to choose. I personally love the cheese fries.

Geez, I just ate lunch before reading this thread and now I'm hungry again!

I've wanted to visit this park for the past couple of years, but there doesn't seem to be any hotels close to the park - am I mistaken? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I live in Selinsgrove. Takes me 25 mins.It has been so packed this summer.I think more locals have been taking advantage of all the discounts they offer. We went last Wednesday night and it was only 8.50 for adults and 6.50 for kids from 5-10pm.I think its certain Wednesdays and Fridays. You have a little bit more of a hike.:)

Sorry I cannot help out with a hotel. But they do have a camp ground and cabins!

You can stay at Holiday Inn at the Buckhorn exit on I-80.Its not right there but about 15-20 mins away. You can also look in Danville for a hotel.I think theres something there and thats a really quick ride too.

We have a place in the Pocono and are headed up this weekend. We've never been to Knoebel's, but this thread is making think it's worth a trip over!popcorn::

Thanks for the info. Do you know what town the Holiday Inn is in?

Where are you from? My grandparents live in Catawissa and I stayed with them while I worked at Knoebels in the summer.

For those of you looking for lodging, their are a few B&B's in the area as well.

**If you'd really like to gorge yourself on yummy food for a whole weekend, plan to go to Knoebels on Sat, Sept 20 (they're open 12-8) and then spend Sunday at the Bloomsburg Fair, eating your way around the fairgrounds. Fabulous Food & Fun weekend!

Its in bloomsburg. The address is Mitchell dr but its right on I80.Theres a mall, cracker barrel, quaker steak and lube(cool theme restaurant),ruby tuesdays, etc right across the street too.The hotel is only a year old too.

Hope this helps

With all this talk about food, I'm jumping in to tell you to bring hand sanitizer. My former company had our annual picnic there as well and it was the first/last time I've been there. The bathrooms were disgusting, no soap to be found, some of the toilet seats were completely missing!

I was shocked! The first thing that we did when we arrived was use the bathrooms and get ready for lunch and I wanted to run back to the car and leave immediately.

Anway, bring hand sanitizer or wipes in case they haven't cleaned up their act since I've been there a few years ago.

That's the way the toilets are there....there are no seats. It's like a rim and a seat all in one:scared1: . That's the one thing I really hate about Knoebels. I love everything else, but hate the toilets! I just take my time and line the thing with t.p. :rolleyes1 I've never had a problem finding soap in the bathroom though, but I always carry hand sanitizer everywhere I go anyway!

Me likey...

Italian Wedding Soup
The "San Francisco" grilled roast beef
"The Antonio" (dessert with ice cream)
(all in the Int'l. Food Court)
The pizza is very good also (Caesari's?)

The food is quite good, and very reasonable in price.

My husband likes the pulled pork sandwiches.....the kids like the chicken fries.....and I always have to have the pierogies.

As a Midwesterner who tries to make it to the Phoenix Pfall Pfunfest, every October. I love the place. For Hotels, Danville has a Red Roof, and for food. somthing we don't get here.................Birch Beer!!!

I am so happy I found this thread. We are head to Knoebels for the first time on Friday,We are staying at the camp ground.
