My mom recently had a knee replacement and will not have the stamina to walk all around WDW. We are workign on convincing her to use a wheelchair or evc when we do the most walking. We are probably going to rent from off-site and have it delivered to the GF. Please advise on which rental places are best and on past experiences. Also, which would be better, a wheelchair or a evc? thanks!

Welcome. I don't have personal experience with an ecv. My youngest daughter uses a manual wheelchair and recently started using a power wheelchair.
This is a list of all the places that DIS posters have reported good experiences renting from:
CARE Medical Equipment - 1-800-741-2282
www.caremedicalequipment.com

RANDY'S Mobility in Kissimmee 407-892-4777
http://www.randysmobility.com/

Walker Medical - 1-800-334-9501
www.walkermobility.com

Colonial Medical

I'm sure some of them will post a little more about their experiences. Some people prefer one company over another, but I read all the posts and I would not hesitate to rent from any of these places.

Some people like ecvs better because you can be more independent. I know my daughter is more "in charge" when she is in her power wheelchair as opposed to her manual one. Some people are a little intimidated at the idea of driving an ecv, but they are pretty easy. There are some rides where a wheelchair can go on, but not an ecv.
