kitchen vs islands dining room

Which is better for theming and fun for kids? They both look like they have kids hang out areas. Food sounds good at both.

IMHO...Islands has a more kid fun area. There is a large bed in the middle of the kids room with tv's up top that they can lay down and watch while snacking. However we love The Kitchen better for atmosphere. My kids loved the kids area when they were younger but now at 12 and 9 they prefer The Kitchen.

the Kitchen child area is quite similar to the Islands Dining room.

large tv, seats, couch, kid chairs.

it is opened completely in the front section.

you can easily see your kids there provided you are sitting near that area.


the Kitchen will seat you outside on the patio or inside.
you have a large rectangular shape dining room and a large side dining room that extends out towards the patio seating.

in crowded times, both dining rooms are open.

the Kitchen has a great dinner menu.


the Island Dining room seems to be more of a quiet atmosphere for the times i have dined there.

What i enjoy about the Island Dining is all the glass exterior on 2 sides of the restaurant.

You can look out and people watch.

except i don't people watch for those eating outside on the patio dining section...........

Thanks for your opinions, maybe I will do Islands now and when they get older try the Kitchen b/c I am sure I will be back!
