Kitchen Sink?

I love ice cream and my husband and I are both big ice cream eaters but even we couldn't finish the kitchen sink. I can't imagine one person being able to eat the whole thing by themselves.

My DD and I did a pretty good job on it but could not finish it.
There is a lot of cake,cookies etc in besides ice cream if it were just ice cream I think we might have done it. We had fun trying!!!

Ha! I couldn't even finish the No Way Jose! And I love ice cream! You should document the whole thing. That would be quite a feat!

We tried it with 4 people and could not finish, but the next year we tried it with 5 people and did finish.

I've never tried the KS, but I've read many posts about it here on the Dis over the years. 5 HUNGRY adults is the fewest I've ever heard of a group that actually finished it. From what I gather, the thing melts pretty quickly and turns into a goopy, inedibile mess in short order. I think that's why the larger the group, the better(it's not just how much you can eat, but how fast you can eat it). If one person can finish it, you should document it on video. There is probably a prize, or at least some notoriety for that.

There must be something to it, because the last time I was in there, they made an announcement about someone trying to eat one, and they only had an hour to do it. We were leaving about the time they delivered it, so I don't know if the guy was successful.

OP here, actually DH, yes, i'm gonna try to knock one out by myself & am challenging my "little brother" (way bigger than me) to an eat off. I personally like it when it gets "goopy", in fact I microwave my icecream at home a bit to get that goopy-ness. No way someone finished in 10 minutes...that would be one heck of an "icecream headache"!! And oh, there will definately be video documentation.

This past December when my family and I were there, our server told another table who had ordered it that one person finished it by themselves in under 10 minutes. However she might have said that as motivation for those people to finish it because that sounds crazy to be true.

That server had to be joking. One person can NOT finish it in 10 minutes, even if they are an eating champion.

One thing I love about the Disboards is you learn something new everyday. Now you all have me curious. What is the Kitchen Sink and where do you get it? Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

4 of us finished the kitchen sink (Me and 3 teenagers) on the last visit there. I actually wished there was more ice cream in it. By the time we go it, it was melted and all the candy parts were gross. I don't think I would ever order it again.
