It contained an asparagus peeler.

Her note said the "Hopefully you don't have any duplicates"

I love asparagus, but never knew a special peeler existed.

Now I want to get some so that I can try this gadget

It did Naughty me---I forgot to post on Wednesday and I'm off Thursday with no access to the internet.

I received the following:

Flexible turner with a unique design that raises the utensil head odd the work surface. Never seen anything like this.

I'm so glad it arrived! I think you'll really like the turner. I bought one awhile back, and I love it! It doesn't leave any food on the counters because it sits up. And, one can never have too many measuring cups.

As for the spoon with the hole, my limited knowledge on the subject is that it helps mix better than a normal spoon. For instance, if you're mixing batter ingredients together, instead of just moving the ingredients around, the spoon helps incorporate the ingredients together. Let me know if it works!

I used to have a wooden spoon set that had a utensil like that; I never used it as I could not figure "why" I would use it Now I will have to try this one and see how it works.

The really funny thing is that the peeler came in a very large cardboard box and then was beautifully gift wrapped (with a pretty purple ribbon and a bow) in a box that could have held a kitchen blender. It was an absolutely gorgeous package

It was one of those very popular utensils that came out about 5 - 7 years ago. Supposedly when you stir a pot with liquid, like soup, it stirs better.
