Someone told the wife about the shopping in Kissimmee. On the last trip we didnt have time to go over to Kissimmee , but this time ( in December) we'll arrive a day early and have some spare time. So can anyone give me some advice on where to shop for some Disney stuff. Thanks , James

I wouldn't say there's much in Kissimmee as far as shopping, tourist gift shops maybe but even then I rather do the tourist gift shops in Lake Buena Vista and International Drive before anything in Kissimmee. As far as shopping in the area you have the two big outlet malls in the area Prime outlets at the north end of International Drive and the Orlando Premium Outlets closer to the south end.To give you an idea International Drive is a long tourist strip with hundreds of hotels, restaurants, shopping and entertainment complexes like Pointe Orlando.Universal Studios is closer to the north end and Sea World and Aquatica closer to the south end.You also have the smaller Lake Buena Vista outlet on 535.The big malls in the area are the Mall at Millenia north of Universal on Conroy rd just off I-4,it's a newer and very nice mall with restaurants and upscale stores. It also has an IKEA next door and tons of other shops and restaurants surrounding the mall. The Florida Mall is an older mall but is definitely the biggest as I think it has over 200 stores,it's also full of stores and restaurants all around the mall,it's located on Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake rd.

I love Kissimmee. We used to only stay there when we drove down, but it's a little too much for us nowadays. US Hwy 192 (also know as Irlo Bronson Hwy) is nothing but gift shops, hotels, and restaurants for miles and miles. Very touristy. There's also some outlets stores (including a Disney outlet) on one of the cross street at US Hwy 535. The 2 Walmart's there also have lots of Disney stuff. I miss going there when we fly down. We're going to have renting a car. I think I've heard that downtown Kissimmee has antique stores also.

I used to live in Kissimmee and yes there are some antique stores there as well as other little botiques.

The Premium and Prime outlets do have a Disney Character Premiere and Character Warehouse outlet stores. These are cool since you get to find many of the stuff they actually sell at the parks.
