Kissimmee or Splendid China?

If you were to do both Disney and Universal/Seaworld during a 2 week holiday, which area would you recommend to be the most convenient?

We are flying into Sanford and are possibly thinking of a drive to Busch Gardens also.

I think we would like some peace and quiet at the end of our days but maybe it's better to be in a busier area so we feel more 'part of it' , if you know what I mean.

Does the location really matter that much, or should I stop looking and just book something?

What area do you mean when you refer to Kissimmee? Splendid China is in the Kissimmee area, although quite a way from Downtown. In my opinion, Downtown Kissimmee is too far from the attractions.

Are you planning on booking a villa? If so, those around Splendid China are definitely the closest to WDW, but there are plenty, both east and west of that within easy driving distance.

It's certainly an advantage being so close, but villas around Splendid China tend to be considerdably more expensive than those a bit further out.

I prefer the Western end of the 192 ( around Splendid China) , IMHO it's a lot less developed and much quieter to stay in. If you want the lights and noise it's easy enough to drive to it, much more difficult to get away from that if you fancy a quieter time.

It does tend to be a little more expensive than areas further from Disney although, IMHO not by much.
