I'm a die-hard Aerofan, but didn't buy tix for this one for financial reasons. I've seen both groups, many times, and just couldn't justify the ticket prices this tour, but...

my sister called me yesterday to tell me that her friend had 2 tickets and didn't want to go because of the possibility of storms; i could have the tix-no charge-if i could use them! what???? of course i could, just as soon as i finished some stuff at work, picked up the kids, put gas in the truck, stopped at home to let the dogs out, and shaved my legs just in case i ran into steven!

took 14 yr old dd, who's been to see aerosmith, but not kiss. we missed the opening act, saliva, due to traffic, but saw every bit of kiss/aerosmith! kiss had a lot of guitar & drum solos, pyrotechnics, etc, just didn't seem to have the tightness that they should have. lots of talking on stage, distractions, etc. still good though, i mean, it's kiss. aerosmith rocked non-stop, as always! they played 3 songs from their new album, coming in feb, and they were very much 'blues'! loved it all and can't wait til feb!

steven tyler was in excellent shape, of course, and i tried to convince the kids (by then had picked up 4 yr old ds from sisters and it was 2am, eeek) that we should hang around the hotel that they always stay in when they're here, but they weren't too interested. sometimes, they just don't get it!

so, a night well spent, and we're back to another day of school, work, laundry, etc. btw, no storms, or even rain last night! for those that are considering catching this show, go for it!

wow, what a great surprise!! Went to see Areosmith last year, but couldn't swing the ticket prices this year. I am so glad that you had a great time. Which were the best, they said in Indy that Kiss was better (which I find hard to believe).

i'm definitely biased, but aerosmith was best! it was a kiss crowd, for sure; i even saw some people leaving when they were done and aerosmith was coming on. but, i thought kiss did a lot of messing around on stage, and less performing than they had in the past.

aerosmith rocked non-stop and kept the on their feet! estimated to be about 20,000 people.

I have a musician friend who went to school with Gene and Paul. He loves Kiss, but says they can be truly awful live:eek:

I am sooooo jealous!!!! I'm a die hard Aerofan too, and I can't get the $$$$ together either this year. The last time I saw them live was in the 80's....What makes it even worse, the concert is in Atlanta (where my sister lives, so free room) THE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY.:(

DH & I will be going on Sept 26!!!!!!

The concert was scheduled for today but was cancelled and rescheduled because of the black outs last month.

Can't wait to go!!!!!! :bounce:

Don't worry, Shannon, I tell you about all the good stuff you'll miss!!!!

#1 Aerofan here :)! I am lucky enough to see them every tour, and this year they didn't dissapoint me! Saw both shows at Jones Beach this past August and THEY ROCKED!!!!!!

As you said, Kiss is Kiss, but Aerosmith are Gods!! Steven, Joe, Tom, Brad and Joey were in top form. Loved that Blues set and am looking forward to a Blues tour (fingers are crossed ).

I am in withdrawal after every concert, but did get a chance to catch the NFL show and hope they will circle around back to NY for their last leg of the tour.

DREAM ON!!
