Have you shopped at Kino's in Key West? Can you give me directions from the pier to Kino's?

Do you love your Kino's?

Yes, I was at Kino's 2 weeks ago today! I love my Kino's.
Here is there info:

Kino Sandals
107 Fitzpatrick Street
Key West,Florida 33040

I just checked the Key West map at home to locate the street. When I got there, I had forgotten the map, but remembered it was to the left coming off the ship. I asked at shops, and people directed me. It is not far from Mallory Square.

If you go, go early. When the crowd dies back, they close.

never heard of them. are they very comfortable. they do not look expesive so is the quality there?

My DH swears by his Kino's. He loved them so much I had them resoled 1 year for Christmas... cost twice what they originally were to begin with! :rotfl: They are cute and comfy, but sizes vary... so be sure to try them on.

Yes, very comfortable. These are hand made leather, with rubber soles. I hear they last forever!! (Only had mine 2 weeks.) Shirley said this man came from Cuba, and had been a shoemaker there. He opened his own shop. This is a small factory, with just a counter out front. Not fancy, nor the kind of a store most would think of. Not much overhead, nor a middle man. They say if you are in Key West during the week, you can watch them making the sandals.

A question for those of you who have shopped at Kino's. Does he take credit card at the store or do we have to pay in cash. I was looking at his website & to order from him, you have to send money order or cashier's check.

I have heard a lot about Kino's sandals & how comfortable they are. We are planning to get several pairs of sandals when we were in Key West for our cruise.

TIA,
Karla in Kansas

I'm pretty sure we used a credit card last time we were there b/c I know we spent over $80 (hey...that's a lotta KINO!)

Yep.....they do last forever, I have about 20 pairs from over the years. While they don't "wear out" they can get dirty, esp. the toe strap which is just made of rope. So if you like a certain pair, heck get two!

And while they last forever, they don't really look like they were expensive. Just nice casual beach shoes.

Super simple - when you get off the ship which is at Mallory Square, you are about a block from it - its on the corner of Front and Frizpatrick Street in a strip mall.
Here is more information - scroll all the way to the bottom of this thread and it will give you all the information you will need
