King Prawn and Rocket Man are GO!

Sounds like you are having a busy time. Wow you did do alot of shopping. What shops do you recommend at CPO?:)

Wow! What a great way to experience your first Disney day. I'll never tire of hearing about other people's magical days and the lasting memories they create. May you have many more.

CPO is a dangerous place. DH thinks I've single handedly kept the US economy afloat and CPO's stores in business over the years. It's not as big as other PO's but has most things you need.

Okay so far we've done (as of last Monday, the weekend were travelling here and there):
Monday - Legoland
Tuesday - Carlsbad Premium Outlet Shopping
Wednesday - SeaWorld
Thursday - repeat of Tuesday, we sunk over $1500 US at CPO and the kids didn't like the days beginning with T but it's not all about them!
Friday - The Coaster down to San Diego and The Midway
Saturday - Legoland Water Park
Sunday - San Diego Zoo Safari Park

and....

Monday - FIRST DAY AT DISNEYLAND TODAY!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: Long day, feral kids at the end but we did CarsLand, Bugs World / Land, the Disney Jnr Show and Soaring Over California. Ate at Flo's and forgot food pics (sorry we just scoff). We got VIPed into the Disney Jnr Show as I was chatting with a CM at opening this morning and she recalled us and that it was our first visit for the kids birthdays, so she opened the red rope and made us stand right at the front door and ushered us in and put us in the best spot for the shows. She also gave us First Visit buttons, We're Celebrating ones for the parents, Honorary Citizens for the kids and Birthday ones for the kids. We collected a further three Cars style buttons each by answering Cars movie questions. The kiddos clanked around under six buttons hanging off their shirts. Did a Character Meet with Lightening McQueen where we thought one of our kids was going to faint. Saw the other characters from Cars. Did a Character Meet with Jake and Pluto. Saw Minnie and Goofy. One kids scared to go near the Characters unless it's Cars related. The kids are in bed and I've sent DH back to Disneyland by himself to do his thing while I do some work for the Disney cruise.

Sounds like a fab first day with heaps of pixie dust pixiedust:

Okay we spent most of our money in Merrell, GAP, Van Huesen (sp) and the discounted footwear store. I also bought new sunnies and a few other bits in shops. If you are into running there's an awesome runners footwear store across the road, we got some great shoes there - cheaper than home but they aren't discount discount. It was worth it for the number of shoes we run thru a year.

We went to the Outlets @ Orange (formally The Block) and it's totally different again and, apart from missing Merrell and GAP, we'd have spent a fortune there today if we hadn't got tired kids and were looking for a bag (which we found in Walmart some four hours later for $20).

Sounds like you are having a great time so that's wonderful to hear! :cool1:

Are you going to be able to see the Space Shuttle Endeavour fly on its last piggy back flight when it flies over L.A. on Friday? I have a friend who lives near Disneyland and she's taking her kids out of school to see it.

Yep, we will be in DL then but it's a matter of if we are on a ride or not. Knowing our luck we'll be on an 'inside ride' and miss the whole thing. DH will be gutted too if he misses it. It's supposed to go over at 9.30AM.

The kids have hit a homesick wall halfway into the holiday. We had a rest day yesterday and it gave them time to miss things I guess. Today it's Magic Morning (although having been up since 0330 I'm not feeling magical myself - it's a little after 5AM here now) and then home for lunch, rest, swim before going back to DL. Friday we'll do the same program and then Sat we're visiting friends we are cruising with and returning the rental. It's been so hot here, all my SoCal friends are over this ultra hot autumn, the kids have been doing really well with it but I think they just miss the cooler weather and running around their own house making as much noise as they like.

Good luck with sighting the Space Shuttle:)

Four days at Disneyland completed. We saw and rode everything bar two rides we wanted to do, a lot multiple times. Kids are happy and shattered.

We saw the Space Shuttle from the Boardwalk area of DCA, along with a lot of other people clapping and cheering it. It was around 12.30 and one kid was too hot and very upset, but we saw it.

Tomorrow we board the Disney Wonder for seven nights. :cool1::cool1::cool1: Can't wait for our cruise meet and FE to kick off. We spent the day with a fellow Disboarder who lives in SoCal, so cool to meet her after chatting for half a year.

What an awesome trip you're having so far! Hope you have a wonderful time WDW!
