King beds in Studio? at VWL

I know they list a queen bed but are Kings available in a studio by request?

I've never seen that. I've only seen a queen and a sofa sleeper and have never heard of a king option.

No, studios at all DVC resorts have at least one Queen Bed and a sleep sofa or second queen (all OKW studios have two queens- no sleep sofa). None have a King bed.

If you want a King bed, you'll need to reserve a 1 or 2BR villa (the master bedroom of Grand Villas also have a King bed).

We when stayed at BWV last Fall before we became members, we had requested a studio with King bed (not knowing these didn't exist) on our reservation. When we checked in, we asked if a studio with a king bed was available. The Cast Member checking us in left for a moment then came back and said there wasn't one ready today but they may be able to move us into one the next day. We said thanks for looking and headed to our room. Were we surprised to open the door to find we were upgraded to a one bedroom!

We always wondered if they knew we had previously requested DVC info so they upgraded to help convince us to buy. If they did, it worked!

Thanks Pooh..and everyone else!! We have the 1 bdr but our friends who we are bringing have the studio (that's all the pts we have left). They stayed in a 1bdrm/king bed last time and their 17mo will probably sleep with them. Not sure they are willing to rent the 45 pt difference for $450 for 3 nights.

They have requested DVC info so I might add that King bed request and see what happens...can't hurt!!

I believe I read here that VB has a couple of studios or inn rooms which are larger and have king beds instead of queens. This is the only instance I can think of, though.

I wish they would create some king studios at WDW...

Doesnt the BCV studios only have full size beds (not queens) in their studios? If so, wonder why those chose this route? The beds do look rather tiny.
